Blackshear Decision Today

My friend is a Virginia Tech graduate. He is long time friends with an adjunct Tech professor, and his nephew is on the campus police force. Again, I hope this info is wrong. I would love for Blackshear to be a Cat!

A young lady I dated at Eastern State was released over the week-end. She lives near VT. I received a phone call early this morning form her. Minnie informed me that she was in an accident yesterday and broke her right leg. She was taken to the university hospital and remained overnight. She overheard some of the nurses and doctors talking about some guy with the initials KB. She reported that they were getting very loud and she rang the emergency button for a nurse. When the nurse came into her room, she ask him what they were arguing so loud about. The nurse informed her that a patient came in last night who was claiming to be the uncle of KB. Per my girlfriend, she ask who in the hell KB was. The nurse informed her that KB is Kerry Blackshear. Well, since she didn't know anything about KB, she replied "so". The nurse advised her that KB was a grad transfer that's having issues with making decisions.

Minnie informed the nurse that she got released from a mental health facility over the week-end. The nurse ask her why she was in and she replied because I was crazy you POS. My ex left the hospital this morning and as she left she heard the nurses admitting someone by the name of Kerry. Minnie told me the guy was very tall, AA, wearing a UK T-Shirt, and acting very confused.

It did indeed seem to go from Florida, to Arkansas, back to Florida, to Kentucky, to Tennessee, then possibly a stay at Virginia Tech.

Which tells me one thing: this is one of those rare situations where the player is probably legitimately torn.

Don't know where he is going, but some would seem to be off his list.

Ark is off.

Tenn doesn't have an open ship, so they would have to bone someone to bring him in. If he's willing to be a part of that, then I wouldn't want him at UF.
UK has already added a pretty good PF xfer.

Prolly jus wishin&hopin on my part for a Gator decision, but to me it's a UF or stay at VaTech decision, with staying where he's been having a slight edge...

I get the feeling that UK might not even finish as the third-place team. Which kinda makes me feel better since it wasn't any one school that beat out UK for him. Definitely seems like Tech and Tennessee are ahead at this stage with Florida possibly being in the top 3 now.

Sounds like your friend just read the post by Evans on the va tech board where he said a decision could come Sunday or Monday and he thinks it’s between Tennessee and returning to va tech.

UF led the SEC in scoring defense, allowing 63.6 points per game, and 3-point field goal defense, permitting opponents a .316 clip from long range.

The guy coaching him at UF would be Big Man coach Al Pinkins.

If someone each day posts the decision will come today eventually someone is going to be correct. I am to the point, I await the decision, wish the guy well no matter how it goes and focus on '20 class.

The amount of sources none of which have a direct quote from Blackshear himself has created this debacle of coverage and shots fired at the player for no reason. Everyone has speculated what THEY think he's looking for in a program. We don't know and if it's UK, great. If not, so be it.

As is case with all recruiting battles, you either win or lose, the "placement" of the losers is irrelevant.

Good post. I think Evan Daniels does a professional job. This new kid who covers Louisville and attends the school, Jake Weingarten, he's stated some things as fact and then turned around and said a different thing as if his initial commentary didn't take place. He's young so maybe that's it and I'll give him benefit of doubt because it has to get old tweeting out Louisville's offer to a 5th grader who made a layup at Chris Mack Invite (Tangerine Bracket) daily.
