I read this 5 times after reading some of the responses below and don’t think there is the slightest thing wrong with this OP.

Go if you can or want to. Stay home if you don’t want to. Either way root for RU to win.

Thank you. There are too many butthurt people that take everything I post personally. We all want Rutgers to be a winner. If you don't have season tickets you shouldn't complain about secondary market prices. It's time to bite the bullet for one game.

I’ve got 4 tix in 103…I’m selling for $2000 each…if you want to pry them from my hands…otherwise, I’m there to root for the seniors like a crazed dog😀

My point is…some people on stub are fans that plan on going…if a great offer comes along they will give them up

Yeah. It wasn't the OP. It was calling fans cheap for not willing to pay $180 for a $25 Tix. People always judging others based on their standards. As well off as I feel I am I'm not a fan of looking of looking down on others. That's all.

But it's not a $25 ticket. The market demands that it's $180. The tickets I bought on secondary market were WELL above my season ticket price. But it is what it is. For one game we can make an exception. Can't do it all the time but this game will be special.

The game is sold out.

If people want to go and willing to spend $100 + on the secondary market to sit in the bleachers they will.

If they don’t want to, or can’t afford it they won’t.

Stop telling people what they should do, how they should spend their money or calling them cheap OP.

I'll keep this in mind next time someone on the board questions a player or coach. I'm questioning the fans. It's no different.

It's different. But it is what you do. And you ain't got nothing on this guy:

"The last time he saw his alma mater in the flesh, he was a graduate student working as an usher at the RAC during Roy Hinson’s junior year. It was 1982. ... nspired by the current group of players and their coach, Strobin garnered a solo ticket and drove his Toyota Venza hybrid 500 miles from his home Daniels, West Virginia to Jersey Mike's Arena in Piscataway for Rutgers’ momentous regular-season finale against Penn State (noon, Big Ten Network)."
😜

I love that story. First thing I read when I woke up this morning. He probably spent more than a few hundred to make it to NJ yet we have people that live driving distance refuse to pay much less than that. This guy's a shining example of a great fan.

You a funny person. It's his first game in 40 years, and he is a shining example of a great fan?

Some people live far away and can't travel for a 2hr basketball game. I'm not unreasonable. There are plenty of people that live in Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Warren counties that are too cheap to buy tickets, when in fact they make plenty of money bc those are definitely not cheap places to live.

Finally someone gets it. There are plenty of people on this board and in NJ that can CHOOSE to splurge on one game. It's not cheap to live in NJ. Most people here make good money.

Again, I've commented on how absurd someone listing 100 level seats for $2K is but the other prices are not THAT crazy. Are they marked up considerably?! Yes. But in grand scheme, not crazy.

People not wanting to splurge are exactly as I said cheap.
People here were complaining that parking went up $5 bucks.

Some people want things but want other to foot the bill.

That has been the whole point of my thread, hence why I said Rutgers fans are cheap.

I can agree to that. Now if season tickets or ticket prices went up 30% I'd agree with a gripe but people are going to have to open their wallets at some point

I'm a bit confused at who you are calling out and why? The game is sold out and there have been many sellouts this year. That would mean that RU fans have already stepped up. Why would you question people about purchasing tix on the secondary market to replace other RU fans already attending the game?

We have threads fans call out other fans selling their tickets to visiting team. Now we are debating if our fans should be encouraging other fans to buy tickets on stub hub. Love it.

You realize you are telling the OP what to do, right. Irony can be pretty ironic.
