I paid $280 for an extra 200 level seat in addition to my season tickets. I've done my part, thanks for asking.
That's great. You are the perfect fan, and anyone who does not live up to your standard pales in comparison. You have a different life and can afford that. A lot of people are hurting right now with spiraling inflation and gas prices. You do you, and let everyone else do themselves.

I'll be on the floor tomorrow. I'll wave to you in the upper level. 👋

Where did I say anything about being perfect? You were the one that suggested I contribute to a GoFundMe. Again your words not mine.

Why are Rutgers fans so cheap?

The prices on StubHub are going down a bit, and it's the last time to see the "culture changers" together. Money is the reason we all go to work. Memories last a lifetime.

Please consider coming to the game Sunday by any means necessary.
Great post . I remember getting offered ridiculous amount of money for Louisville. Guess what that money would be gone and spent now . But that memory of sharing that night with family and friends lives on .

Yep exactly. I go to work to make money. I enjoy my hobbies to make memories. Can't put a price on these things.

My wife had a $300 stubhub credit and bought me tickets even though I told her not to because it was too expensive. Amazingly the credit didn't fully cover a 300 level corner seat. Wasn't but a few months ago I failed to give away my Merrimack tickets for free. What a world.

This is both clutch and amazing. I hope you have a great time at the game. It's going to be awesome!!!!!

You are the one who posted, asking others to "consider coming to the game Sunday by any means necessary." I was pointing out that many people cannot afford $200 tickets ($400 for two), and I suggested a way that you could help them out so that we can pack the RAC with RU fans. We are actually in agreement, because this is part of your "by any means necessary." I'll be the guy on the floor with the #4 Jersey and the head band with gray hair.

I bought my friend a ticket for $125 to come to this game as he can’t necessarily afford it. I won’t even be sitting with him as I bought a courtside seat 3 rows back from the RU bench in 114. This way my other two friends could sit In Our season tickets in 204.
To me it is all about the fun of it and I wanted to hangout with my friends before/after and hope everyone enjoys the game. This team, particularly the players, have given us some great memories over the years and it’s fitting we are all there to send them off.
I will also be the guy wearing a PM headband I just bought yesterday for me and my 4 friends—if I told my wife this she would laugh at me because I’m in my 40s but to me all about having fun.(she is also a Nova fan—-booo).

even bought a Geo cameo to say happy birthday to me my daughter Scarlett(10) and showing it to her and her friends today at their sleepover as that is her favorite player

Live it up as life is too short!!

Some Pig is asking $2250 each for 2 tickets in Sec 103 on Stubhub. Isn’t there an anti scalping law on the books?

There ought to be a law against this.

The other day someone was actually selling two for $10k each in the 100 level. Crazy. I don’t see it listed anymore.

$180 each for 300 level is a steep ask. Would you contribute to a GoFundMe page to support those without the means to afford that amount?
skip the bother, skip the fuss, no need for crowd funding when Madhat s willing to drive the Bus.
Let me know if you feel good old trustworthy Madhat should handle the fund my ticket money and I'll set up a bank account in the Cayman Islands just for that purpose.
Just to make it simple, cash only because Madhat don't want to endorse any checks so it will be easier to find him

Sir. You've got to stop looking at others from your high perch. Not sure how you got what you got but clearly you got it. Great for you. Seriously.

Somebody not willing or possibly able to spend $350 for a 2 hour basketball game that would normally cost $50 isn't being cheap.
You can do an awefull lot of good with that extra $300.

I'm going to use this opportunity to recognize @Loyal_2RU who sold me his Tix and parking for the game at a super low price and I was able to share them with another fan on here.
We all could have made a killing on them but didn't.

Very weird thread. You can get two tickets for $300 (with fees). Sure that's an extravagance but it's not THAT extravagant.

I don't have season tix but I picked up two in 105. They were expensive but...my prerogative.

No idea why some of the tix are so high priced on StubHub. Seems rather pointless to have tix for $1,000 or $2,000 each when similar tix at $500 are not moving.

I'm sure there's a PSU fan out there somewhere, who you can scalp tickets too. it's not like you haven't done it before in another sport. 😁

I'm still living off the interest on those profits!!! Look, I gave you the chance to keep those tickets and do something with them. Ya know, I'm still a bit steamed at my firefighter buddy who stiffed me with those tickets, even though I made a tidy profit on them.

I havent really used stubhub in a bit. Is there a way to filter by 'sold' prices to see list of prior sales so you could gauge the actual ideal spend amt? (i think you can do this for ebay)
Those for sale prices are useless because if you have cushion time, why not throw up crazy rates and who knows who might bite and then you're in fat city...then bring back to normal once it gets close enough to the day.

I dont think OP is suggesting that someone spend their rent money on a ticket. I'm sure there are plenty of Rutgers fans who can afford it who will not be attending

Finally someone gets it. There are plenty of people on this board and in NJ that can CHOOSE to splurge on one game. It's not cheap to live in NJ. Most people here make good money.

Again, I've commented on how absurd someone listing 100 level seats for $2K is but the other prices are not THAT crazy. Are they marked up considerably?! Yes. But in grand scheme, not crazy.

People not wanting to splurge are exactly as I said cheap.

People on here criticize the players and coaches all the time. I'm here to call out the cheapness of our fans. We want a winning team but don't want to support it like a winning team. Very baffling.

Yeah I know. but you need better examples. There are plenty. Not willing to pay 700% over face value isn't a good one. Especially when the cash is going to an individual or a 3rd party business.
I'm going. But if I didn't get a good price I would rather have given the extra as a donation to RU.

I know you wouldn’t do that based on your posts here. But no one should ever think about that if they are entrusted with the purchase of Loyal’s tickets. He’s a longtime respected fan and poster. Selling those tickets would be the worst juju of all time! 😂

You can pretend to list Tix and see what the recommended pricing range is. They base that on sales. plus I also think the platform shows you the quality of the Tix deal offered?

For the record I refused to pay him face and volunteered a higher package price. I was lucky to get them even at what I paid and wouldn't think of paying him face.
Thank you for your kind words and know I made them real. Frankly anyone not willing to kick in a bit more for them would be MY definition of cheap *** Rutgers fan. 😊

I read this 5 times after reading some of the responses below and don’t think there is the slightest thing wrong with this OP.

Go if you can or want to. Stay home if you don’t want to. Either way root for RU to win.
