I do believe there is a small minority who hold it philosophically hoping for future intrinsic value if it ever takes over as the primary currency, but most are real estate bros or suckers chasing some aspirational, one-time exponential growth that it will never achieve again in hopes of cashing out for real money.

On its face it seems obviously idiotic. However, the lack of laws in this instance make for a possible "out of nowhere" ruling. It will be worth watching that's for sure.
