If Kansas didn’t know, and Adidas was just doing this without knowledge of the schools, why does De Sousa get 10K to go Maryland, 20K to go to Kansas, Bowen got whatever to go to UL, but a house and cash to go to Oklahoma. Why would Adidas changes offers for different schools?

Seriously. You can’t be this stupid.

How does Adidas know what to offer on behalf of the school?

So you are conceding that had Preston played, that would have been a violation because he was paid (no fig leaf of it went to a parent or guardian matters.) That's why he sat out, as everyone with a brain had already deduced.
But De Sousa was paid, DID play, and so that was a clear violation. Forfeited Final Four, 20 games, and ineligible this year. It doesn't matter whether it can be proven Kansas knew anything -- Michigan, Memphis, UMass all took down banners with the NCAA conceding the schools and coaches didn't know anything.

Nooneputsbabyinacorner: Adidas does this without the schools knowing. They just guess which schools need a stud big man and offer what they think the school can afford. Here is 10K to go to school A. Here is 50K and daddy gets a job and a house to go to school B. Here is 20K and you can punch women in the face while enrolled at school C.

How does Adidas know what to offer if they aren’t working with the school?

These defendants have to show that the schools were willing participants...... sorry noneputsbabyinacorner but these guys are saying Self and KU knew ... they gave to show that to win their case

LOL. Ol' Toupee Bill Sounds like he's preparing for the inevitable. Here's a partial quote from today's press availability when he was asked if De Sousa would play:

"In the past I’ve made a statement that we certainly believed based on the information we had that this would have a positive resolution, but that was also based on the information that we had. So who knows what could potentially happen in the next, whatever period of time..."

Who knows? Everybody knows. De Sousa played after he got paid. Forfeit last year's games he played, and disqualified for this year.

Funny. I remember him saying the Preston thing would be cleared up any day about 42 times throughout the season. Why do I not believe him?
