Shawver was completely gassed by end of 1st period. Can be expected with how little he wrestled this year I guess.

I would not say completely gassed. It was 6-5 after Shawver got a slick takedown in the third and he let the number TWO seed up to try to tie the match. The camera cut away, so I missed the last minute. Although he was tired, it is expected since there were a ton of shots, counters and scrambles.

What’s the rest of our schedule look like? Janzer has to be coming up, then Rivera, MVB and Poz?

I agree a lot of scrambling and he fought hard until the end. Just looked like he was sucking wind early on. Not surprising with the way this year played out. Also, the fact that the guy was the 2 seed doesn't matter all that much since the guy is now wrestling for 9th place. He was obviously not seeded correctly.

Yeah, after Session 1 he's been on fire and wrestling the best I've ever seen.
Wasn’t calling you out. I was calling out our resident pessimist who sarcastically quoted me after MVBs loss yesterday after I said Goodale always has these guys ready to wrestle when it counts.

He will face Blockhus from Minn for 3rd. MVB beat him 10-5 this year.

He has also gone 3-2 against the #5, 7, and 9 ranked kids in the country and is a stupid locked hands and a lazy high single away from being 5-0

interesting seeing Nijenhuis wrestle for purdue.
Didn't he split with Connor O Neil last year?

I know, just want it shown for the record I don't ,"always dwell in the past". We disagree sometimes but we've never had a problem. Van Brill wrestled real smart that match. 1st the almost Storr takedown, grabbed for the floor as soon as he could get it(hey it's the rule). Then how he kept just the tippy toe in on those 4 backs. Storr knew the merkle was coming and Van Brill just kept muscling it in. Like his prospects at NCAA's they don't know about the merkle.

Great tournament for MVB.All clicking for him and his hard work is truly paying off.
Finish the job at the NCAAs with an All American standing.
