Your not taking into Consideration that the game is in Madison...

Take the 3.5... Wisconsin hasn’t been tested yet..

I think Wisc gets punched in the mouth by a team who looked a loss dead in the eye

95 team wasn't tested either. Wisky went to South Florida and spanked...something we wouldn't have done. This team hasn't given up a point and scores as much as us...and their SOS is equal to ours. Obviously their scheme keeps games close as games are over in a minute and if they turn the ball over they can lose, but they are a hell of a team.

That’s what I thought too. I don’t trust MSU’s offense to score 9, much less win by 9.
Man i originally thought that but that line is begging people to take NW.. i actually think MSU covers now.. i bet NW barely scores if at all and MSU has put up some offense.. i mean numbers wise they had over 400 yards against asu last week but just couldnt cash in.. i think that freshman qb for NW struggles alot and their defense even gets a td.. i will take MSu now 24-6

Just don't expect any field goals from MSU, lol.

South Florida only scored 7 points against an awful Georgia Tech team. USF has been a mess this season

And did you really use the '95 Huskers as an analogy for the 2019 Wisconsin Badgers?

I think you deserve to get banned. I'm embarrassed to share this board with you.

In our office we do a weekly four team parlay (which is super fun). And one of us picked MSU because he felt the line was begging people to take NW.

Also, if you’re looking for a fun office pool type game, doing multi-person parlays is a blast. We have four guys, each one gets to pick one team per week. $10/person. But you only have to pay in if your team loses. So if all three of my guys win and I lose, I owe $40. And of two win and two lose, the losers pay $20/each, etc. It’s a blast.

Best B1G game this week obviously is Michigan vs. Wisconsin. Surprised that Wisconsin in favored after the pre-season Michigan confidence.

The only indicators of success at this point in a season are +/- offense and defense totals. Wisky is at the top in that category. Everybody has played soft opponents but Wisky has smashed them. The idea that they aren't very good because of schedule is farcical when nearly every team in the big 10 has or has nearly lost to a non-power 5 team.

Mich hasn't looked great and Wisc hasn't let an opponent score. I can see why they are fav. Granted Wisc hasn't played anyone with a pulse so I could also see Mich blowing them out. Should be an interesting game either way.

Speaking of hell, what the hell does “us” and “we” have to do with anything?

Brilliant, comparing 12 games to two..

Hard to really tell much after two games with Wisconsin but there are some things that look pretty clear

  • Their defense is really solid holding any team scoreless let alone two in a row is impressive. Since these were blow outs it also means they have some depth on defense
  • Offense - the QB play has been out standing
I am not sold on their offense however it has not run the ball as they have in the past and instead has relied on a more balanced attack even shaded towards passing. Coan imo is still just a servicable QB if they are relying on his passing skills this year it will cost them. To beat Michigan they are going to have to run the ball really well, their receivers will not consistently beat the DB's of Michigan. The MI defensive coordinator will also be putting some serious heat on Coan

You have excellent strawman skills.

A straw man is a form of argument and an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man".

My argument was that people often argued that 94-95 huskers weren't viewed as tested early in the year because they destroyed everyone. And if a team gets blown out, they must be bad. Whereas Michigan is going to "bounce back" after a test. Stupid. It is idiotic to say a team hasn't actually played anybody just because they blow them out every game. I never said Wisky was the 95 huskers I just use a simple analogy so people could understand it...using the 2009 Texas Tech Red Raiders would have been lost on people. Real plus minus is a much better indicator of success than "eyeball", or name on the helmet, or "feeling", or even record. We don't quite have a enough data to make a 100% bet on wisky but I bet after michigan we do...How is the game going?

That was an impressive first quarter from Wisconsin. But I’m not sure we should be comparing them to 95 Nebraska, just yet. But maybe that’s just me.

Dorks just can' read...I was comparing how stupid fans are when they say a team isn't tested, even though that team leads the nation in plus/minus. If you blow out team after team after team it shows you have good players and you have depth, and good coaching. Every dork on this thread would **** eternally if our huskers played like the badgers. They might be doing secretly watching Wisky declothe michigan. I mean wisky was so dominant they hurt their own running back by him getting too many yards.

No PIN Head you still compared a 12 game season to just a couple... But go ahead and pat yourself on the back..

So you are doubling down on a stupid comparison and taking shots at your own team for the hell of it. Gotcha

So tiresome...do you have an argument to add or just more vomit and vitriol.

Overriding Thesis: Plus/Minus is a great indicator of success in college football
Mini-thesis: Wisky should have been considered a very good team because they dominated their first two opponents and had an unreal plus/minus. As we have seen around the big 10...beating poor teams shouldn't be taken for granted. Continually beating teams by 3 scores or more is an indicator of a very good team.
Argument Against: Michigan could beat Wisky because Wisky hasn't been tested.
My Argument: They have been tested, it is called two games...they dominated. So they passed their only tests without giving up a point.
Analogy: After a few games the 95 huskers were said to be untested, except they dominated their opponents...meaning they had been tested and had dominated, so they were good.

Outcome: Wisky dominated Michigan as predicted...every indicator pointed to a blowout.

There are some easy counter arguments...lets see if you know enough about CF to propose them...

Do you have anything to add or just one line vomit.

Well I went 3-0 today (First time this season)

LSU -23.5 bought 1/2 point
Wisc -2.5 bought point
MSU -6.5 bought 1.5 points

Now I have some house money to play with, so here’s two 3 team parlays I placed for $30 to win $150 (approx) just for fun (remember, parlays are a suckers bet )

Georgia St @ Texas St Under 62.5
UTSA @ North Texas -16.5 bought point
Notre Dame @ Georgia Over 58.5

Utah State -2.5 @ S.Diego St bought 1/2 point
San Jose State @ Arkansas Under 61.5
Nebraska -13.5 @ Illinois

Anyone else got any “investments” placed for tonight?

Note: None of these transactions were made in real life, all hypothetical of course Winking
