I had low expectations for this conference going into the tourney but holy hell they were even worse than I imagined. Can’t believe people thought this was the best conference in the country. Not even close.

While it is very embarrassing. Purdue played its C- game tonight and got caught in the chin.

One could make a strong argument that it is the most competitive conference, but that is a far cry from being the best . There was no doubt in my mind that the most fans here had an inflated view of the conference.I was more surprised that two conference teams made the Sweet 16 than I was by Purdue's loss to SP. Once again the Rutgers factor prevails. If Rutgers can beat you, well, then, rip up your ticket. You've been Mushed.

Conference needs a transformation of coaches. It needs coaches who can recruit top players and play a more athletic style. The dinosaurs of mccaffreey / painter ceiling is a good team. The conference needs coaches like Juwann Howard less the Bullyness who can recruit top notch players consistently.

The biggest Big Ten weakness is the lack of players that can create and make shots off the dribble. The 3 point shooting is woeful and games are decided in many cases on the number of fouls called.
Which is weird because they probably have 3 top 10 draft picks and all three can create their own shot. Their just aren’t enough good role players on the league.

B1G best overall conference but basketball is so so over rated. Should have never got 9 teams in. We play 80's basketball everyone else plays 2020's basketball

Underperformed? A little. Not enough to be remotely interesting.

For what it’s worth, the Big Ten was 9th of the 32 conferences in 3 point shooting %.

The Big Ten's weakness is (insert argle bargle here).
I kept hearing its “big ten referees let them play too much, and in the NCAA where they’ll call fouls, the Big Ten teams don’t know what to do”…but suddenly, it’s that the Big Ten refs call too many fouls…of course all while ignoring that these same refs are doing games across many conferences, including NCAA games.

Let’s not forget the ACC.

Regarded as having a down year all season, and now with a few breaks they could have three FF teams.

2 of the 8 schools making the elite 8 were bubbles the final weekend of regular season. North Carolina had no quality wins and needed to win at Duke to get on the right side of the bubble. Miami was straddling the bubble above the last 4 but needed a late comeback to knock BC off in the ACC tourney which could have put their bid in jeopardy. St Peters was fortunate big favorite Iona was picked off in the MAAC quarterfinals. 3 of 8 schools in the elite 8 were no locks.

Last we saw upstarts Oregon State who wasnt even going to the NIT before winning the Pac 12 tourney. UCLA barely got into the tournament last year.

We have seen Loyola, Butler and George Mason make unlikely runs to the Final 4

Team gets hot..team is destined

Everyone said how great and underrated the Pac 12 was after last year well look at them now. Teams get hot not conferences

Amazingly the ACC has 3 schools in the elite 8

But what does that mean considering the middling resume of UNC and poor computer metrics of Miami..hey kenpom how are your predictive metrics now
