So Iowa over OSU last year by a metric crap ton.

Purdue over OSU this year by a metric crap ton.

When is it our turn?
In two weeks...as we continue our fight to bowl eligibility and Meyer's "health" causes him to retire again. (I'm not serious, but it would be great to see)

I'm not sure who is poppa. Momma is Louisville, but he will be the boss in the coach search.

Maybe he will wait. Depends on the open spots. He is an impressive coach. I kind of think it depends on his ego as to where he will go or not go. Make Purdue a monster? Greatest coach evahhhhh!
Loving the confidence in the boilers to win the west! He's going to have a really tough team at Purdue here in a couple years. The Brohm vs Frost games could be fun to watch, especially if frost gets wandale.

I'm just wondering why he would leave. You have a a very good qb. A very good running back and a defense that rises up. You also have a generational player that can't be defined by position.

Our defense isn't up to stop "the" imo, but we will score.

Go beat the West and win the B1G. That will make me happy.

Beat Iowa by alot though...

Next year is a different animal.

He said tonight regarding everyone assuming he's gone something along the lines of I don't think people realize how good of a job Purdue is. He's isn't wrong. Looking forward to playing you guys again next year! And yes, Iowa scares me more than Wisconsin.

It pains me to say this, but I think Iowa runs train on the Big Ten West for years to come, probably until Brian Ferentz retires. Nebraska can't keep it up running these gimmick offenses. Scott should have brought back the Osborne offense. My wife says I shouldn't sleep with my Nebraska letterman jacket on, but I do anyways, in hopes Big Red Nation wins again like they did during the Osborne years.

I dont like you. Candyass comes to mind.

You do realize that if you ALWAYS root for the West division teams you are hoping things are more difficult for Nebraska. Isn't it bad enough that we end up with the hardest schedule in the conference year in and year out ? Do we really have to hope that our main competition wins so we will all look good ?o_O

But I still have the firm belief that Nebraska will soon be holding its own in the division and the trips to the CCG will be well-earned and not based on playing a bunch of lightweights.. I don't think the schedule has been that difficult the past few years. Riley was just the wrong coach to take advantage of it. The schedule this year is quite a bit tougher though. I'll give you that. I only see Ohio State and Iowa as challenges for the remainder of this year. I have no doubt the rest will be W's.

I wouldn't go thumping my chest yet. We have won exactly ONE game. We beat a crappy Minnesota team. At home. Will we win a few more games? Most likely. However, let's see how they improve and deal with adversity first. Wish I had your optimism! :D

I can’t fathom a situation where I’d ever root for Iowa to win ever, just a horrible message board fan base. I mean absolute scum of the internet.

I’ve been told by a few of you that there are decent Iowa fans out there, I actually even know one personally, so I no longer say all Iowa fans are horrible, but I haven’t come across any decent message board Iowa fans yet.

Never has a team been easier to like (tough hard nosed football, decent coaches etc..) coupled with a fan base so easy to despise.

@SWIowahawks is a good visitor.

Yep. I'm cautiously optimistic. I would like to see our defense come to life against OSU, but I'm not holding my breath. I think we can score on them, but don't think we're going to score like Purdue did against them. I think we can be competitive in all the other remaining games.

I actually like Kirk Ferentz quite a bit. Seems to be a very decent human being. He seems to be a very humble gentleman too. That interview of him after losing his grandchild made me really feel for that family. And his large donations to Iowa's Children's Hospital have been impressive. I still maintain that their new tradition of the fans waving at the kids (and turning on their cellphone flashes) in the hospital is the best tradition of any team in college football.

I also like that Iowa always has very good OLines and DLines with talent that generally isn't ranked as high as many of the B1G schools. Would like to see us get back to that level of development again soon.

You may find this amusing, but would you believe I had to be subdued in that post because I originally planned on writing that Ohio State was going to be a toss-up instead of a challenge. Minnesota even gave OSU a game. They are nothing this year. Ripe for the upset. Yes, maybe I have been placing too much emphasis on the high-powered offense and forgetting the defensive issues. As a friend reminded me just a few minutes ago, the old saying is defense wins games. But I just have a feeling games will be won more than they will be lost from this moment on. I hope I can point to this post at the end of the season and brag about being correct.

Agree with all of this, that’s why I posted Iowa as a team is easy to like. GBR.

I'd like to see Northwestern win the division, and if not them, then Purdue. So this week I'm rooting for Penn State, Northwestern, and Purdue.

Michigan State is trash. If they beat Purdue, that's because Purdue has a hangover.
They won me some money in the NW game because I said the same thing. Then they went on the road and beat Penn State. Lots of variables but I do think Purdue will be hung over and took MSU -1.5 in my parlay this week.

FYI, msu is down their QB and best two receivers. Plus others.

I wouldn't be worried too much. Unlike OSU Michigan has a defense.

Go Blue!

I, for one, look forward to watching UM spank the Pedos this weekend. And not just because I have money on said outcome.

Seriously hope you guys run it up on Urb well into the 4th quarter too. If you play your cards right, you may just induce temporary heart failure. Smokin

Iowa won't know what hit them once Frost gets his offense fully implemented. Ferentz or no Ferentz.
