Not surprising. Bigger states, biggger cities, engaged alumni, engaged communities. There are a lot of ACC cities that don't give a **** about the local university football program.
Northwestern is really the only Big Ten that has nobody local that doesn't care. You can go 10 minutes away from the Northwestern stadium when they are playign a home game and ind people who have no clue that Northwestern is playing.
