I think that IU record is about to change.....

of course we belong, those *****
Indiana shows what can happen when the right coach is hired.
Under Tom Allen, Indiana was 0-23 against Top 25
Under Kevin Wilson, preceding Tom Allen, Indiana was 1-16 against Top 25

That's 1-39 from 2011-2023.

problem, you hear their schtick more than not. we need to fundamentally change the perception of the program
That's not changing until we have a new coach. Schiano couldn't play a more boring style. One of my biggest pet peeves. If you are going to lose, at least make it interesting.

Good news is we are in the B1G. That style plays well for some.

Rutgers Lacrosse BIG record the last three seasons: 4-11 a .267 winning %

Rutgers Football BIG record the last three seasons: 9-18, a .333%

Funny I never hear you complain about our Lacrosse coach.

I agree, he's not changing and the change needed is him first

100% correct. What would the feelings be on Schiano of he made the playoffs and then the program cratered?
He would probably be given some leeway, which is perhaps why Pikiell is still here, but the real problem is their buyouts. The problem as many fans see it is that in 6 years, he hasn't really moved the needle like he did in 1.0. No major bowls. No upsets, including knocking off a ranked team. As noted in other threads, both Indiana and Illinois were in as bad or worse condition as when Greg took over in 2020. Six years is a reasonable ask for progress beyond righting the ship. Maybe this is the year. We fans who want more are not haters, we just want more. I prefer to see it with Greg because he has worked extremely hard and has done everything else the "right way."

Funny I never hear you complain about our Lacrosse coach.
I will when the school spends as much as our peers do on funding the team.

I notice how you only go back 3 years though, while cherry picking conference data. Brecht has a winning record and has taken the program to the Final Four, along with 2 B1G title games. In his chosen profession, Schiano could only dream of the heights that Brecht has reached.

Funny how you don't mention that.

I think this is a majority view in the alum/fanbase but gets overlooked by the volume anti GS posters.

I would like to see Greg make Rutgers a top program myself.
But in the world of sports , program's fanbases might like the HC but there comes a time they start singing
I can't wait forever

then break out with this when they get tired of waiting

Point was Lacrosse made a FF and the completely fell apart.

I would not call being ranked nationally "completely falling apart", even falling short of the tournament.
Team was 8-7. These Schiano fanbois would give him a 10 year contract extension if he ever did something like that. Lacrosse has higher expectations though.

I think there are fewer anti GS poster than there are pro GS screamers who shout down fans who want to see the team win, regardless of who the head coach is. In other words, there is a small number of anti-GS posters, but there is a large number of posters who scream at any poster who dares to think about or suggesting it may be time for him to go if he can't break 6 wins this season.

Irrelevant question as he struggles to get to 6 wins and a bowl each year

If he did make the playoffs and the program catered however, you'd have to look at the why

never forget, Greg is paid very well to coach a sport that 7yr olds play. Somehow, people forget that he's an employee who is paid to succeed and not show up and earn 'cred' for doing some things well

Oooof that’s a rough look for lax. Despite previous success they also deserve criticism, much like football. YIKES
