Just read that we haven't had tOSU at Kinnick since 2017. I didn't realize it was that long ago.
Let's hope history repeats itself!

If they don't have Nate Stanley come be the game captain for that one it will be a huge injustice.
He was a projected 1st round draft pick for a few days after that game... its true lol Todd McShay was on the sidelines that game and was gushing.

In case anyone wants a fancy graphic:

Tough way to start B1G play, and once again, we start on the road. Our toughest games of the year are all together in a 3 week window, with a bye coming afterwards. Hawks need to get 1 of those 3 games if we want to get to the playoffs.

Three toughest games right out of the chute.
Apparently the BIG wants to eliminate hawks from playoff contention by mid- October.
Thanks for nothing, BIG!

How about a trip down the old big ten west memory lane after the bye week.

Good thing Kirk isn’t like ucla men’s coach mock Cronin or he’d be crying a river right now.

Best spot to catch Michigan with a ton of new Players, Coach and system is early , Iowa got prison showered by the B1G , Business as usual from those azz hats

Not a fan of the Conference schedule certainly.

Not only does a team that gets better as the season progresses, have their 3 toughest games to start Big Ten play.

But, it’s also just kinda anticlimactic. Spread them big games out a bit.

Imagine how pissed O$U would be if they had a Kinnick trip in November under the late afternoon/early evening lights. Can't interfere with the bell cow and potentially give them a late season loss.

One quirk,:
Oregon,IU and Iowa, the three highest rated teams not named OSU and Mich., all play OSU and Mich back to back next season.

It's almost like the BIG has set up OSU and Mich to soften up these contenders one week, then next week finish them.

Iowa- at mich, then home vs OSU
IU - home vs OSU, then at mich
Oregon- at OSU,then home vs mich.

Just odd how that fell.
PSU only plays mich among these top contenders..helping Matty Campbell out and giving BIG another playoff contender.
UWash is also set up nicely to make a run.

Kinda makes you "hmmmm...."

Also, Matt Campbell is definitely the betting favorite for B1G Coach of the Year next year. Total cupcake schedule that will allow the media to coin it as an immaculate comeback for the program.

JHC …. That’s murders row with OSU, MICHIGAN & WASHINGTON… I can see Iowa winning 2 out of 3 but lose to OSU.. but who knows maybe it’s time for Iowa to give another woodshed spanking to these bums

I've gotten over the shock. At UM with a new coach and players, Iowa could win. At Washington, tough but it could happen. OSU at home in between, well, it could happen. It's a home game, the last time we played the Bucks in IC...

Funny how the annual Thanksgiving tradition of kicking Nebraska's *** differs from one Hawkeye fan to another. I'm all turkey sandwiches that day- dark meat with swiss heated up and in rye bread. Many prefer to nuke the turkey, stuffing, gravy on a plate. To each Hawkeye his own.

Wisconsin for Halloween should be fun. At NU, to see their fancy new stadium. Illinois on the road concerns me.

If Iowa wins at Michigan, at home against Ohio State and then at Washington, I would consider the win AT WASHINGTON to be the single most remarkable victory of KF’s tenure. To beat those first two teams, be on that high, and then go out to the West Coast to beat a quality team would be a near impossible task for any team.

Is Iowa D backfield ready for Julien Sayin to Jeremiah Smith?
Well all I am Sayin is give our DLIne and blitz a chance. I am sayin that Sayin cant pass when he is on his back. That is how Miami and IU beat them by making Sayin uncomfortable and limiting his time to pass.

Looking back I bet Ryan Day and their OC should have used Smith and their other big receiver as decoys who were double teamed early and thrown the ball to the wide flats areas to running backs, TEnds etc and try to get those players the ball in open space.

Definitely influenced by people in power at Ohio State and Michigan.

There's zero reason Iowa should be playing Ohio State and Michigan back to back, let alone in the first third of the season.

Will they call interference on Smith when he uses that damn stiff arm and catches the ball with his other hand?

Wisconsin should rebound this year without Oregon,OSU,mich, and IU on their slate.

Pretty much cake outside of UWash and Iowa.

Wisc sucks these days. There's no game on their schedule that's "cake" given what they've become lately.

From USA Today:

Even though the QB-WR duo of Julian Sayin and Jeremiah Smith will be back, a front that got dominated by Miami in the CFP quarterfinals is largely gone and set to be replaced by less experienced players. Running back Bo Jackson is expected to be among the nation's best running backs and the Buckeyes will be — and should be — considered title contenders, but it's tough to put them ahead of Oregon or Indiana considering how their season ended and with so many players departing.
