Bubble teams/fans are nervous on selection Sunday. Our guys and I would have been sleeping like babies.
Well, it didn’t happen. We haven’t played a tournament game since 1991. And we haven’t been in play on selection Sunday since 1999. Let’s just get in the bracket

We were not a bubble team. Not sure what to tell you. This is not hard. Maybe you just don’t understand what a bubble team is.

True, but do you really expect our next three opponents to seriously outspoken us? None have the firepower of Iowa or Garza. We will be fired up for revenge over Ohio State. Penn State is not as good as last year. Michigan State is playing poorly. I think our guys will be ticked off enough about losing today that we beat the Spartans, get our revenge against OSU, and beat a team that is looking like a 11 to 14 finisher.

If I am wrong, then I am wrong.
All teams are real good.

WE will not be out of the Top 20 on Monday!!! Also 10-10 in league would get us to 14-10 not 13-0. We also still could add another OOC game between Jan 16-22 or Feb 5-9 if Coach wanted to as there is a decent break at those two times between games and we still are allowed 3 OOC games if we wanted to. I think at least one more local team should be added to at least get some minutes for our freshmen as we only had 4 OOC games.

We were in it last year. We would have been picked no doubt
True we would have made it and yes we are a very good team. Stop worrying about making it and stop giving games away by continuing to shoot horrendously from the free throw line. The reason we lost yesterday was that specific flaw.

Greene makes a good point. We are better thanMichigan State this year and should win but have never beaten them although we have played well at Breslin . Penn State is streaky. They came out shooting on fire early against a good Va. Tech team and buried them in the challenge. They were up 15 on the Hall before blowing that game IN OT. They gave Michigan all they could handle at Michigan in their first conference game. So they are really capable of shooting real well like 10-13 threes. Ohio State is pure revenge and we will lay a wupping on them. But this league to Greene’s point is really difficult. 13 of the 14 are capable of winning , getting hot on any night and even Nebraska is not as bad as they were last year and has some players.

We are better than Michigan State right now. That I am comfortable saying. I think we will be better at the end of the year too, but that I am not certain

I’m reading these comments ...and the one thing is obvious is there is an assumption of everything is normal

Assuming we will stay healthy from covid, assuming the NCAA will be 68 teams and not 16,

We need to realize that we might not get to play 20 league games ...making every game that much more important.

We really need to put a lot more immediacy into the here and now and if there is ever a need for a “be 1-0 In the next game is all that matters” mentality ...right now is the time to adopt it and DO IT ...and everything else will fall into the place

Rutgers is going to be a bubble team again. This game was very important since it was a ranked team.
That matters at the end on how many ranked teams we beat.
This was a much bigger loss than OSU.
This was at home.
We will be out of the top 20.
You really are a troll aren’t you? Gloom and doom and not a realist.

As of last night one of the national media members on College Basketball has RU at 6th.

Amazing how when other Top teams lose in the Top 25, that isn't factored in, except when someone wants to claim to be a RU fan.... Does the poster even watch CBB....??

MSU PSU and OSU should all be wins. Just need to take care of business

Honestly not sure I bring Caleb back against arguably the best team in the B1G with zero game action in almost a year. I hold him out a couple games down the line. Not that I dont trust him at all not the case but it's very hard to contribute on the offensive end missing that much action and time. There were better ops to get him burn in games before he is in rotation and get him back into game shape

On Caleb - some of you are really underestimating the value he brings to this team and the importance of getting him acclimated playing in the flow of the games as quickly as possible. Depth has been one of this team’s biggest weaknesses and his availability changes everything. First of all, the kid can play 1-4. He’s a huge addition. We may not be a good aggregate FT shooting team but we now have 4 reliable FT shooters to stick on the floor with an inbounder to close a game with a lead. This in itself is a major development.

But that aside - you realize Paul had 2 fouls by the 11:23 mark of the first half right? Mathis had 2 first half fouls too. Everyone else except MJ (who sat inexplicably in favor of Rieber - at the end of the game - nothing to do with Caleb) played 32+ minutes. Who should’ve played more in Caleb’s place. A recovering Young or Harper? Come on.

I'm not underestimating him I know what he brings. Needs to get his game feet.
If hes healthy have to get him in rotation...if hes not would rather him rest and sit year out he is needed for sure
