just confided to me that his people are pissed Carter didn't even have Leach on his short list. "They've wanted that crazy bastard for years." he said.

Then he turned around and said Leach was a "gimmick" Coach and will get eaten up by SEC defenses. He also said Leach will give up or get fired after failing to get players to Starkville.

The network is all aboard for the Lane Train. Love my Rebel acquaintances.

Diddy is probably the booster. Maybe his diddy gave him some money he can donate so he can call himself a BIG BOOSTER though.

Bitching cause he wasn't on their short list then calling him a "gimmick" that will get destroyed by SEC defenses.

I also have a guy at duck camp that is huge Ole Miss homer. He basically said the same to that Leach is a gimmic and what were we thinking hiring a gimmic coach. That his offense will be eaten alive in the SEC. That Kiffin was a proven coach. And will do so much better in the SEC.

I flicked my ash off my cigar, smiled and said we shall see! Stuck my cigar back in my mouth and walked away! They are for sure threatened and jimmies are rustled!

id rather have a gimmic coach thats a proven winner and likely HOF coach than a coach who's famous for being repeatedly fired. i dont want to talk ill of Lane...he is going to be entertaining.


leave it to Lane kiffin and mike leach to bring some civility to the egg bowl rivalry.

After that early signing disaster, the checkbooks will be WIDE open. They were gonna open up for sure, because they can't have Kiffin fail.

But for people who love recruiting as much as they do, that early singing fiasco has sent them over the edge.

OM fans have written that State fans won't like Leach because Leach won't say bad things about Kiffin and OM. Like State needs the toxic rivalry. Idiots. Moorhead didn't say bad things about OM and they still fought on their field and pretend peed on State's field.

About 70 % of the defenses we face aren't any better than the average big 12 or pac 12 defenses he faced. The entire conference having elite defenses is the biggest crock of **** narrative anywhere in the country. We play Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama A&M, Tulane, NC State, A&M, and New Mexico next year. Which one of those is anything more than a decent defense in the conferences he's been in? Not a damn one (ok maybe A&M but Leach is 7-3 against A&M in his career). So he's going to struggle against Alabama and LSU and maybe Auburn? Whoopty doo. Who the hell isn't?

They already open. They are favorite for #8 DL in the nation from Maryland for this class and he’s never visited campus.

He may end up leaving or getting fired, but it won't be for not getting the players. He believes, and has reason to, believe hat he can win with the players left off the recruiting lists.

He'll choose to leave if he stops enjoying what he does. We'll fire him if we become impatient or have a better option.

Only an idiot would say "we wanted him" and follow that up with acting as if his offense is a gimmick. Longest running gimmick ever.

Leach made the comment that the level of athletes in the area was a reason he took the job. I would say he certainly believes he can win here. I don't believe he'll concede, & just take the leftovers. He seems genuinely excited for the opportunity.
