I think the team and/or coaches refer to him as Big E (certainly not Big O) - though I could be wrong ... Which I think was also what Elvin Hayes was called, no?

However, I am pretty sure, even as an Ogbole optimist, he is neither Oscar Robertson nor Elvin Hayes ... but himself.

Listened to Aaron's latest pod. He didn't seem too high on Big O from what he's seen in practice.
Sounded ok to me, saying Ogbole’s athleticism is off the charts, he can run the floor well, and he’ll set screens to give space to our playmakers.

He said he’s worked hard to improve after coming off last year’s injury and playing limited (less than 100 total) minutes.

He correctly pointed out that Ogbole will not be counted on to create his own shot, just put-backs and lobs, and we should not see our offense stagnate by dumping it down to the center position the way we saw with Cliff last year.

He said Lathan is ahead of Ogbole offensively and that he sees the minutes distribution as split evenly between the two, at roughly 15 minutes each with Martini picking up 10 minutes at the center spot.

So he basically did a projection of the 5 spot overall, calling out the likely contributions of each of the three guys, concluding that defense, rebounding, and offensive efficiency (more so than total points) will be the keys from our center spot.

Glad to see Lathan has shown enough so far to get 15 min per game.
