More than Nick. Which is why he doesn’t make the same types of mistakes. EJ’s chances are quite good this year. But then I’m not really stupid enough to draw many conclusions from an intrasquad game.

Well I don’t know about those guys but I’m just a Kentucky fan who wants the best for all our guys. That being said I post my observations on their play realistically and without bias. If a guy ends up being a whole hell of a lot better than I thought he could be then that’s a-okay with me.

You forgot to mention you’ve totally forgotten how a 3 or 4 year player develops.

No, I haven’t. Some players develop, others really don’t. I’m not saying Nick can’t or won’t. I am however saying the jury is still out.

You’re throwing a lot of red herrings at people here in an effort to paint everyone into the “bad guy” corner, I won’t let you do it to me.

Sure it’s true. People said the same crap about Jorts and he came through big time..

NO, they did NOT say the same about Jorts. And the fact that you keep making that comparison just illustrates that you've no clue what I was referencing with my prior posts.

So I'll take it back to the beginning for you. There's been this narrative on this board for years that, because Nick grew up in Jamaica and apparently didn't start playing basketball until he was around 14, that explains his struggles because he's supposedly not played long enough yet. I was just responding by pointing out that excuse doesn't really apply so much anymore since he moved to the US at 15 for the sole purpose of playing basketball, and is now nearly 22 and has been playing a ton of super intensive basketball year round against the best possible competition for quite many years now.

That situation has nothing whatsoever to do with the Jorts' situation. Jorts was not Jamaican, Jorts did not start playing the game at an unusually late age, and NOBODY ever claimed that those things were the issue with Jorts.

Serious question: do you actually read the posts you respond to? Because the way you respond often clearly indicates you don't. You have a distinct knack for missing the point and thinking posts meant something other than what they actually said.

But you got no proof to suspect he won't improve. You can't refute the guy has very limited basketball experience against competent defenses nor does he enjoy more than 2 years decent coaching. Not to mention that he HAS improved.

You are the one carrying the paint. By the way, no door in that corner. If I get your position right, you believe he is essentially done for before the season starts but you hope he does good. Yeah, that's some support there. I'm sure he feels encouraged.

And in spite of all this, Jorts did not come into his own till his last year. The narrative around Nick is spot on. Why you think you can just arbitrarily forget it is beyond me. Most that decide to just toss ALL the facts aside usually have an agenda.

You have my position wrong. I can see that there is no meeting of rational minds with you, I gave it a shot. Have a good night.

There's more proof that he won't improve than there is that he will.
I mean what proof do you have that he will improve? He's entering his 3rd season here. Most players improve the greatest between their 1st and 2nd years.

He does this habitually. And has for years.

I don't think Kybass actually reads the whole posts that he responds to. It's like he only reads the first sentence ...and then pretends the rest says whatever he wants it to say in order to give the response he wants to give.

I'm not sure if it's because his attention span is too short to be able to actually read and follow a post longer than one sentence, or if he's just being dishonest with how he blatantly misrepresents people's positions, but it's a trait I've noticed in Kybass posts for quite a few years now.

None. I am just not trashing the guy in public and giving up on him. Losers do that.

Nick wont be Kareem for UK but guess what?
He doesnt have to be!

Rebound, block shots, alter shots, rebound and rebound some more and give UK 8-10 pts a game.

Not a single person here has claimed otherwise. That's not what those here that you were arguing with were ever talking about, you sad little dim bulb.

You have the mental acuity and comprehension ability of a Garden Snail.

Oh yeah they did. If you could add, you’d understand that, it’s even clear to a garden snail, but apparently not to you.

Don’t worry. Nick may not improve and you won’t look stupid after all.
