Gotta give Northwestern AD Derrick Gragg credit for doing a one-on-one with Dave Revsine. And gotta give Dave credit for not sugar coating the interview and asking uncomfortable questions. Gragg didn't answer a lot of questions due to the "ongoing investigation", but he took his lumps.
Anybody who doesn’t think there’s some form of hazing going on in virtually every team sport in the world is naive. A few knuckleheads went over the line. I think NW kneeled to the me too crowd.

None of this matters. If you're really interested in how the B1G goes in 2023, just pay attention to Jim Harbaugh's session today. The B1G championship talk starts and ends in Ann Arbor - plain and simple. BTW, who's the greatest and most winningest program in CF history ?

Of the last 50 years, how many has Michigan been involved in the national title discussion in November? 5?

The lost respect in video form
Nothing sums up the Frost era better than this. Ugh.

You're fighting a losing battle when trying to make sense with that fanbase. They're right there with ND with the "holier than thou" attitude

Wolf fans seem to only care about certain things while ducking the stuff that is important, like NC's.

They claim to be the Harvard of the midwest while in reality they are behind Purdue and Illinois in majors that matter and behind NW in everything.

I worked with a couple of Michigan graduates a few years ago and to say they were arrogant would be a huge understatement. Biggest bunch of a-holes around

The insecurity of their fans and students is something that should be studied. It must be how Yale kids feel when Harvard is mentioned.

Not top 5 or anything but we did a shovel pass or end around or something to Hickman on the 1 IIRC. That one bothered me.
There are definitely tiers of mind-boggling stupidity in the Frost era, that play may be a lesser tier because, hey, you never know, maybe the defense will be caught by surprise :| My nightmares are haunted by both Adrian Martinez AND Luke McCaffrey on separate occasions running around the field then, at the last second, attempting to chuck the ball to a wideout in the flat just far enough away to confirm that they had idiots coaching them, as both plays were ruled backward passes recovered by the opponent. Ohio State in 2018 and Illinois 2020.

If Betts was 2-3 inches taller he would be Randy Moss. Crazy long strides, totally effortless movements, great hands (probably not as amazing as Moss but who is)

If he "wants it" he will be one of the best in program history. I am guessing that he matured a bit or at the very least realized that some of his friends, while I am sure are good guys, had very different goals.

Matured a bit? Or just overcame Frost?

I would have sided with you if not for the numerous others, ICG, McCaffrey, etc

Betts has always had a bit of an issue with just working hard.

Even at Bell West, basically had to bend over backwards for that kid. If it had not been a covid year when no one get rejected from college, he was not gonna make it.

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about B1G media days since we joined the conference, it’s this: Don’t take an L at these media days. Avoid controversy. Avoid scandal. The past few years, we took L’s and looked unprofessional.

This year, Matt Rhule did not take an L.

Compare to last year's media day. Frost looks like hell.

Do you even know what the me too movement is about? Pretty big reach to try and pull hazing into it 😂

"...we’ll be feared again.”

I'm a big Rhule fan, but c'mon Matt. Don't repeat the last guy's bluster. 😐

That is a misquote and a 180 from the sentiment he actually gave in the interview. I went back and watched again to be sure I did not hear it wrong.

He said, "There was a time when Nebraska football was feared and we certainly want to get back to that. We want to be a team that you say, 'You know what, that team's feared.' But we're not at that point yet. We're at a point right now where I believe that we have to take back the respect of what it means to play Nebraska and to be Nebraska… This season for me is all about us, not just earning, but taking back respect and bringing back respect to Nebraska football. Once you earn respect, you can talk about being feared."
