As an Iowan who isn’t heavily into politics, Thank god, The endless political commercials were nauseating.

This is hysterical on so many levels. From a non-political standpoint it’s funny because it happened to Iowa. From a political standpoint if anyone knows anything about the differences between those two states and how South Carolina likely for the next four years fundamentally change this nation, not nearly as funny. Good luck to the Palmetto State.

It’s only because Spencer Petras got hurt and Marcus Washington was a big meanie and hit their best DB too hard.

In regards to the caucus, “iowa isnt first because they’re important, iowa is important because they are first…” can’t remember who said it, but it made me chuckle…

In regards to iowa fans in general,

“SORE LOSER IOWA FANS WON’T LET NEBRASKA PLAYERS CELEBRATE WITH TROPHY THAT QB CASEY THOMPSON DIDN’T EVEN KNOW EXISTED”

https://www.outkick.com/iowa-nebraska-football-rivarly-2022-heroes-trophy-fans-players-celebrate/

An unbiased, independent source confirms what most of us knew all along. Playing Nebraska is iowa fans Super Bowl and they are both poor winners and poor losers.

Something I know about:

This is not good news for the Daily Iowan, the student newspaper at the UI. I served on the DI board the past five years before escaping IC, and the paper/website has been supported greatly by both political advertising and by private donors who established a political reporting initiative at the DI for students interested in covering politics. Without the squeeze from a first-in-the-nation primary, much of that money may go away.
