Pretty safe to say that Rutgers will be 2-0 in the Big East at least until the NCAA tourney begins. Secret scrimmage ended around 130.

We are already penciling road wins against Seton Hall and DePaul?
Are we counting exhibition games in our record too?

In other sports who actually takes exhibition game results seriously?

I do

I come from a perspective that “the news from New Haven is not good at all. We lost to Yale by 30 or 40”

Would you rather hear that... or hearing we at least played even two top 25 teams ...and sounding like best them “????

Nothing wrong with hearing VERY good news from these scrimmages ...and from others impressions of our practices ....especially when in the past , the scrimmage news wasn’t good and the practice review was a stretch to find something good to say....

You are right in the sense everyone is still zero and zero. Still, would rather here good news rather than we couldn’t compete. Now they need to carry it into the season.

Rather hear good then bad, but have to take any result with a grain of salt.

Yup. Doesn’t mean a lot. Sketchy reports, no one actually saw anything… Still would rather hear positive leaks than negative, just not going crazy over it.

We don’t know how many minutes either team played their 2nd and 3rd teams. We dont know if either team were trying new offensive sets or playing a D that isn’t their primary.

Getting pummeled by 25 on the surface could be bad, but you can learn a lot more in losses than in wins. Also if things are too easy a team can naturally get complacent.

Net net id rather this result, but am not letting it impact my thought on this team even one little bit.

UConn insiders report that Rutgers won by 8 points, but that Hurley did not install offensive set plays, whatever that means., and that Rutgers did better in the half court.
