Should be some good game in Class C-2 this week with Playoffs implications on the line.

Bancroft-Rosalie/Lyons-Decatur (7-1) at Oakland-Craig (8-0)
This will be a game that will decided in the trenches and BRLD probably has a big advantage. BRLD has a quarterback in Will Gatzmeyer who is a game changer and also has Wideouts Vogt and Johnson. I would say if BRLD is a little weak it might be at running back. O-C does plays great defense and will have to find a way to get a pressure on Gatzmeyer with alot small quicker defensive line. The Knights do have a pretty good running back with Mayberry and good Wide Receivers Dodge and McNeal. I am gonna say Gatzmeyer is too much for the Knights and BRLD wins 28-21.

David City (4-4) at North Bend (5-3)
David City is a very balanced football team with their QB Dannielson who has thrown for almost 1000 yds this season. They have good running backs with Denker and White. The other side North Bend loves to put the football in the air with senior QB Endorff who has thrown for over 2,000 yds. Endorff's main wideout targets are Emanuel and Pospisil. I think North Bend has to win to get in the playoffs
but I am gonna say David City pulls the upset and beats the Tigers 35 to 21.

David City Aquinas (5-3) at Shelby/Rising City (6-2)
DCA started off the season with some tough games against Norfolk Catholic. Columbus Scotus. Centennial and HCC. You know DCA is a very well coached team with Hall of Fame Coach Ron Mimick and has this young team playing good football after a rough start. Shelby RC is kind of a surprise this year in C-2 The Huskies are lead by QB Mason Schleis who has thrown for over 1,200 yds but also have a nice ground attack with Grant Lindsley but watch out for WR's Jett Pennino and Max Hoatson. I am gonna say the passing attack of the Huskies wins 24 to 17 over DCA/
Does DCA get in the playoffs with a loss?

I believe Aquinas would need either Scotus or David City to win to get in if they lose. However I would be pretty surprised if they lost this game.

Also, I believe NBC QB is a junior, could be wrong.

I going with its a real slow friday, NBC and david city game may have playoff implications but both teams struggle and would not say either is a great team, AQ will win, because Shelby does well unless you play tough run the ball football against them and BRLD and OC game is the game of the week and should be a good one, I am going with BRLD

I agree I think Aquinas takes care of Shelby pretty easy. Also BRLD is a tough out. I think they beat OC Friday night.

BRLD 28 OC 13. OC starts strong but BRLD's line play tires them out
David City 34 North Bend 28. David City run game is legit
DCA 48 Shelby 12. DCA excels in clutch time

I wish I could disagree, but I also think Aquinas and David City both win easily. BRLD and Oakland will be close the first half, but I think BRLD wins by two TDs. What does everyone think about Sutton and St Cecelia?

I think HSC will hang with Sutton but Sutton pulls away. They seem to be on a mission this year.

Well, this is no fun. We all seem to agree. So for the sake of debate, which district in C2 had the toughest road this year? And now after the regular season is over, what team truly had the toughest schedule?

In my opinion Superior played the toughest individual schedule playing 7 teams that were division 1 or 2. And only 2 teams with less than a 5-3 record at this point. W-C, GICC, and Centura out of district before getting Sutton, D-T and HSC in district. Wow.
And I think C2-3 from top to bottom had the hardest road to the playoffs. Teams like Ponca, HCC, Norfolk Catholic and Crofton all played 5 division 1 or 2 teams. Stanton played 4 and Battle Creek played 3. Not saying this is the best district , which is obvious because they probably only have 2 teams in the playoffs, but when you add Norfolk Catholic to the district, and play BRLD, Oakland Craig , and Aquinas out of district, I don't see any other conference with a tougher schedule.

I don't know which district is toughest here is one thing I look at.
The teams Battle Creek beat 11 wins.
Hartington CC 8 wins.
Ponca 5 wins.
Stanton 6 wins.
Cofton 2 wins.
Norfolk Catholic 30 wins.
Centennial 37 wins.
Sutton 29 wins.

Looks like I was wrong about North Bend and OC. Well deserved wins tonight by both teams. Haven’t heard on DCA Shelby yet
