They are shooting 3/4 shots. I’m almost positive they weren’t doing that last year.

Richard Head was a client out of Atlanta. It was hard to keep my composure when he call and said - yeah, this is Rick Head.

Years ago there was an IBMer who came to managers class where I worked name of Peter Bonyhard.

You can probably find him on line because he committed some kind of fraud, was fired, and iirc was prosecuted.

We are set down low. Will Boston and Clarke live up to the hype? Can Mintz or Askew step up and own the PG spot? Who gets rotation minutes by tourney time? Who is a consistent deep threat?

All questions I have, but the talent is there. This team should live through Sarr/Jackson/Brooks, own the glass and block a lot of shots.

I do have questions about whether or not Boston and Clarke are quite the game changers that a lot of people here are saying they are. And I don’t meant that to imply they’re not both very good. But many here I’ve seen putting them in the best of the best category (Wall, Davis, Kat, MKG, etc ...) as far as former freshmen here. I’m not sure about that yet. I hope so.

The talent is there every year. The finish is what’s been lacking.

I have hesitation on Clarke more than Boston. Part of that is I never saw him play and his position. We've had a lot of wing types that haven't panned out to the degree they were supposed to. Some good, some bad, some just ok....Johnson, Diallo, Whitney, etc. In fairness to the kid I have no clue whatsoever, just my hesitation.

Boston on the other hand...I think he will be one of the best of Cal era. If I am wrong so be it.

Boston and Clarke are similar size but from what I've seen, totally different players and skill sets.

Stand by my statement that mintz will be a surprise.
Mintz averaged 10 points a game two years ago on a good Creighton team. And he won the 3 point contest by a wide margin last night so he's possibly our best shooter too. I guess long term Askew probably has a higher ceiling so Cal may start and and play him more but Mintz is the better player right now it appears.

For the 3 point contest, it looked as though a couple of guys just came out of the locker room cold and started shooting. Askew for sure did, he had sweat pants on, came straight out of the tunnel before shooting.Iit had to affect the guys coming in cold. Watch it, not one guy was sweating. Cal pretty much told them, "Go out there for a few minutes, give the fans a few highlights, and take it easy, no rough stuff." I do not think Ware got the memo, dude was out there trying to steal balls, smacking balls out of peoples hands. LOL, dude is intense, but he will struggle, definitely a 3 year guy minimum. And that is just fine by me. Jackson, though ,,,,,,,,

Mintz is your starter, he has to be.
