Even with my limited knowledge, I have trouble seeing how UK fans are going to fill half that arena.

This game is huge for WVA/U.

I'm from WV, so I think I would know. You do realize that Kentucky gets better coverage (radio/tv) than WV in WV, right?

UK will have a large portion of the fanbase there. Not a lot of people from WV get to watch Kentucky play in person.

lol nothing you've said so far in this thread is even remotely close to being true. The only places in WV where UK gets any kind of coverage is along the border. I have nothing against UK but that statement is laughable.

I could easily see you guys bring 1.5-2k, but after the students and season ticket holders get their share there will be no where close to 7k tickets available for UK to scoop up.

To the normal UK fans I would like to say I'm very excited about this matchup and absolutely can't wait.

Share BB season tickets with another couple. The only way there will be a lot of tickets available is if WVU gets off to a horrendous start and the fan base quits. Other wise the place will be full of WVU fans and students and it will be rocking. The fan atmosphere is great and they treat the opposing fans pretty good. I've seen some jawing and good natured ribbing but I haven't seen anyone treated like you get treated at Tennessee. As for TV coverage. There is better UK coverage in Southern coalfields than there is WVU coverage. WSAZ covers UK real well. There coverage area is as far north as Summersville. The rest of the state bleeds Blue and Gold.

That is going to a loud raucous arena. They will be hyped out of their minds for that game, especially if both teams are highly ranked at the time. Should be a fun one to watch. I like Huggins.

First off to the guy that said WVU is only good once every few years and are going to be garbage next year better do some research on that. In ESPN's early poll they just released I believe they are ranked #9. As far as for the fans, yes several years ago they had a bad rep and justifiably so nit since joining the Big 12 a big priority is cleaning up the image. Ask Big 12 fans about their experiences and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

West Virginia Hausa rich basketball history. This will be a huge game and the place will be raucous.

We'll get 2,500 to 3,000 fans in there, but it's definitely going to be a game where we will be underdogs.

So, who won? I must've blacked out during this game that was played 1/27/17.

I was thinking the same thing!
