Why would any top D recruit in the country want to go play defense in that conference? Seriously? To get 50 plus hung on your D every week? To make it into the playoff and show the country that your weak *** conference doesn't play D ever? Any answers?

They only have to beat texass for conference title and on to the Playoffs.

You do know the same goes with Nebraska at this moment too until Chins proves differently in the future, which I hope it sooner then a few years away..

Top recruits are probably offered the opportunity to come in and play right away to help improve a garbage team.

I’m more amazed that loaded teams with extreme depth can still land top recruiting classes at every position, every year.

turn it around and ask... The B1G and PAC don't even make it to the playoff game anymore.. why would anyone want to play in those conferences?

I believe the BIG 12 was 3-1 in bowl games against the SEC. Everyone knows the SEC plays great defense.

"A year or two"? We won 4 games year one in a so-so conference. Compare us to the truly elites and it can measured in light years rather than regular years.
