Yup…and based too much in tradition. Old style
coaches who recruit old style methodical players and mammoth centers (with some exceptions like Ivy and Ayo last season). Then they insist on 20 league games so the teams beat the hell out of each other and routinely seem shocked when the game “opens up” or teams spread the floor (ND and Richmond) in the NCAA tournament.

Why any coach would want Curbelo on his team is a mystery to me. He might be the most selfish and out of control player I have ever seen. And he's not that good

In Iowa's case, it is more than an occasional fluke loss. They have been knocked out early in every (8?) tournament appearance this century. I'd call that a pattern.

I was wrong. Big 10 made 100% improvement. This year 2 teams advanced to Sweet 16. And the door is wide open for Purdue to advance to the Final Four. Celebrate good times, c'mon.
