BAILEY IS REAL GOOD IF he could just put it ALL together!!!!! Obviously it is a B1G IF but he has ALL the tools to be in the NC conversation next year!
I’d like to see Nasir stick around. I think 133 is where he can be most effective next year especially with his top game, but he’s made strides at 141 this weekend
We have guys who basically run to the edge at the end of matches. I get trying to stall out the win but you have to at least make it look good. We just stall poorly in these situations.
I agree, but that example wasn’t what happened. Nasir even made an attempt to circle in and still got dinged 2 seconds after getting the first stalling call

Today has actually been fun to watch so far. Dean should have taken neutral but I’m happy with his effort. Block, VV, and Gabe keep fighting. Drake over Byrd is huge. Nasir is looking like an actual AA threat again
Ref/s have an agenda when this happens and they should be looked into
He has looked good...I guess having functional hands is important in wrestling!
My fear is that his performance this weekend might move him up to the 8/9 line. I think he can wrestle with almost anyone at 141 if this is how he performs...but not Mendez.
I am continuously impressed with how calm you stay madden.
I suspect we will see a big redistribution of guys to weight that Forest and Blaze are not next year. Looking at you 149, could see a bunch of new faces.
^^^ This is one of the B1Gest problems I have with our current program!!! If nothing else!!!! Do NOT get called for STALLING!!!! That was a HUGE reason I started following IOWA back in the day.
GABLE era HAWKS just KEPT COMING!!!! IF I was TnT, that might be where I start. Every time you back out I would tell the wrestlers, you have 1 stadium stairs to run!!!
Hit for stalling, You run an entire circuit!!!! ANYTHING more, you run till you drop PERIOD!!!
Great job by Drake. Feel much better about him after this weekend.

IDK, I think he's too darned big to be effective all year at that weight. Similar to Block at 149.
141 for Bailey and 157 for Block is my preference. Given an full off-season to put on size, I like it!
God the corner work from this staff is so bad. Not adapting to the new rules. Stubborn!

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Many of those seeds were crazy low because of significant underperformance during the season.

Really need Drake opposite of Forrest. That’s a nightmare match up. Hope Forrest ends up on the same side as Blaze/Davino and they take care of him. That’s the most realistic path to a title.

A Knox win at ACC probably moves him ahead of Drake. Possibly up to 4/5 line
If you escape quickly its 5-4 and a TD puts you up 7-5 thereby making your opponents escape 7-6 your win instead of possible ot.
Not to mention the new seeding process, which is obviously terrible
Yea because it’s been some of the worst seeding Iowa has had at big ten in decades. How many of our guys wrestle above their seeds (won matches against better seeds) in the winners bracket??
