Thats my entire point. Dominance for any one conference or small group of schools is going away. NIL is spreading around the talent.
Nope, it's going to be concentrated in the ones willing to spend the most, just like it always has been. The difference is the big spending isn't cheating anymore. That is going to change who is spending the most. It already has to some degree.

And yet, the Big 10 is now suddenly winning everything in sight and had 3 of the top 5 seeds (including the champion and a semi-finalist) in the football playoffs last year, and had 2 of the 4 semi finalists in 2024 (including the champion).

Its not currently working that way. the top recruits are being spread around more RIGHT NOW TODAY. FACT.

And yet weve had a different national champion every year since NIL started. AKA parity.
And Indiana who has never been worth a 17 won one of those. AKA parity.
And Vanderbilt had a shot at the playoffs. AKA parity.
And ole miss made the playoffs. AKA parity.

I'll bet you 5 to 1 odds and we can put it in an escrow account drawing interest. $100.
In 10 years we are gonna look back at the national champions and its gonna be scattered around. UNLESS SOMETHING CRAZY CHANGES.

Transition time. It will settle back down to the way it was, with some new entries, and some drop outs. My guess is it will be much smaller club when it all shakes out.

I don't disagree with that.

Also, I bet that the Big 10 has more national titles in football and men's basketball over the next 10 years, and more semifinalists, quarterfinalists, etc., than any other conference. (With your same "unless something crazy changes" qualifier.)

Possible. Possible the sec has slightly more.

But if either of those scenarios happen with a few randoms scattered in that’s good for MSU.

In the 24 portal rankings which would be Cigs year one IU finished at 30th. In the 25 rankings for the this past year in which they won the national championship the finishes 25th. Those 26 portal season they jumped to 9th.

Welcome to the age of little sister. Now that everyone can pay player’s and the field is level a sec NC will be a big hurdle. When ucla wins in baseball it’ll be a clean sweep of all the major sports
Who cares? I actively root against all SEC teams in the playoffs/NCAA's. I don't get all the angst I've seen online about the Big Ten's resurgence. Maybe if the talent is spread around more evenly, playing our schedule will get a little easier. Thank God UGa, Bama, etc can't stockpile players anymore.
