The truth is THERE ALREADY WAS A RIGHT TO TRY LAW IN PLACE. This bill just shortens the paperwork.

Not really. The way the original state laws were written, a doctor must first get approval from the FDA to use the drug. The way the proposed law is written, the Dr. must get approval from the drug maker who then contacts the FDA. Semantics which, on the surface, look like detoothing the FDA but they really aren't.
