I don’t think he’s under any pressure, especially if they finish with 17 or 18 SEC W. That should put them right in the hosting discussion.

I don’t think McDonnell’s wife has any interest in coming back to Oxford. And Godwin is an ECU alum, about to have a national seed baseball team. There is really nothing at this point Godwin can do at UM that he also couldn’t do there. They MAY be able to get one of them, but it is far from a guarantee.

Bianco has been so historically consistent. In 19 years, he has never had a team finish with fewer than 13 SEC wins- and that only happened one time in a major rebuilding year. Even LSU, Florida, and Vandy put up a stinker season once in a blue moon, but UM is never bad under Bianco. Yeah, the postseason has been a major problem outside of their one CWS run, but finding a better coach would be very very difficult.

I liked Andy and still think he was a good coach, but he never got close to the same success in basketball as Bianco has in baseball.

#1 recruiting class from 3 years ago should be the cream rising to the top. Yet, they struggle in the 2 phases that type of class should excel in.

A new Chancellor, a new AD, and a new HBC and HFC are on the horizon.
