Was in line at Texas Roadhouse got to talking to a super nice guy. Told me he played small college baseball. Said the stayed in a gym at Rio Grande College in Ohio. Said there was a plaque on door said Bevo Francis once scored 118 points in a BB game set a record. I looked it up and it is on the internet. Thought it was kinda cool.
They have sneaky good boneless buffalo wings, hot. I usually eat bone-in everywhere I go but those things are so dang good with some ranch that I get them.

I almost have swore off boneless. I just can’t trust a boneless chicken. Just kidding I actually tried some boneless the other day and kinda liked them.

You gotta try some at Roadhouse. As long as the cook doesn't screw it up, they are very crispy outside and tender inside and the sauce is unreal. The hot isn't hot but good and spicy. Sorry for derailing the thread.

When I first read it, I thought you meant you ran into Bevo Francis, who I knew had passed away. Way before my time, but always heard about him. I think he s order over 100 points twice in college.

What’s his vertical and wing span, can he guard a pick and roll? Cal wouldn’t recruit him. 😉

I had never heard of the guy. Looked him up I think the site said they give out Bevo award to the best small college player.

Home of the OG Bob evans
The guy in line mentioned about Bob Evans. Actually his wife had a braves jersey in and I told her get a Reds shirt. She laughed and said she loved the Dodgers. He husband came up and we talked about old Reds players. He got to talking about him playing small college and that is how Bevo was brought up. Funny when we were leaving he told me did I believe him about Bevo. Told him I had to Google about him. In all honesty it was a great visit with a random sport fan. I really enjoyed him and his wife. We also talked about the Bengals getting better. Like seeing an old buddy! Even had a talk about at the old red games and vendors calling out Burger beer ice cold beer. I think Hudepol also fun talk.

Ha, same here though I read it that he scored 18 points in a game and thought that is awful low for a record...😂

Bevo died in 2015.
The guy in line stayed at a gym at Rio Grande college. A plaque on the gym said the info about Bevo he also said Bob Evans either lived there or started his restaurant chain there. He said this town was an absolute hole in the wall. This happened about 30 40 years ago. Just thought as a basketball site it would be interesting to know about Bevo. How could you not like Bevo. I have never heard anyone called Bevo.

You are mistaken OR telling a Whopper.
I know about Bevo.
I lived near Rio Grande in Ohio.
He was born in 1932.
Played for Rio Grande 70 years ago.

BEVO DIED 7 YEARS AGO.
I must not be writing something right. The guy I was talking to was not Bevo. He stayed at a gym with his baseball team. He said he saw a plaque that said Bevo scored like 118 points in a game. Never said I was talking to Bevo. If I was talking to Bevo that would really be a cool story!!
