Better team today??

I caught the end of the postgame show, when they were talking about LSU next week. Said something along the line that the better team doesn't always win and we saw that today - so we have some hope for next week.

What 17n game were they watching? We looked like pure *** today and lost. How could anyone say the better team lost that game?

Truth is we're bottom 3 in the SEC with Kentucky and Vandy. Is their anyone that doesn't believe that at this point?

Could have been referring to USC beating Georgia.

We beat Kentucky and Vanderbilt is losing by 2 TD's at home to UNLV, so I'm confident we are the best of the terrible.

Ok, I take it back then. I was in Knoxville postgame traffic so admit I wasn't listening too close but that statement caught my attention

Yeah, I about flipped at the start of that statement as well. They were trying to talk fans into showing up for LSU next week.

Nope I heard it. Listened to the entire post game and they were absolutely referring to our game and using USC/GA as another example.

They were absolutely talking about our game. Quite frankly our post game show is

pretty laughable. Bart and Charlie wanted to be pissed because they were as much as the rest of us. But they held it in. And even said this bs company line about the better team. What in the actual hell have we shown to this point to be one ounce better than TN? Bart is a good bulldog and seems like a good guy to have a beer with but an associate athletic director serving as an analyst on a post game show? Come on. Objectivity is thrown out the window. The young folk may not remember but JWS used to take phone calls live after every game. Win, lose, or tie. Now we get this line up of company guys who will feed into whatever narrative feels comfortable for them to talk about.

Do you really expect them to vent about the team when they’re being paid by the school to do that show? Would you do that and risk your job? If they said they were mad and that’s about all they’ll say then they got the point across. No school’s radio personalities are going to go on a blastfest when they’re being paid by the school itself.
