You guys suck. There have been some fine movies over the last 30 years in the western genre, but I’m not sure anyone has mentioned:
Who Shot Liberty Valance
Stagecoach
Red River
She Wore A Yellow Rose
The Searchers
High Noon
The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly
Once Upon A Time In The West
The Wild Ones
High Plains Drifter…

its impossible for me to pick because its my favorite genre. I love almost all of them ..but I do not like John Wayne westerns. I dont know why. Loved the True Grit remake tho.

A deep cut I love is a movie called The Professionals with Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, and Jack Palance. So good.

Tombstone would be in my top 10 as well.

I have watched the Tales Of Wells Fargo and Hondo TV series like 4 times. haha. Rifleman too

Unforgiven should be #1 on everyone’s list. It’s damn near perfect. The Magnificent Seven would be in everybody’s top ten. Sub The Seven Samurai if you want the source code. For the third, I’d go with one I watch whenever I run across it. Tombstone or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid or Little Big Man.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is in a class of its own. Tuco along with Quint from Jaws is the best movie character of all time.

The rest of the list:
Shane (Pale Rider is a remake of Shane)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Outlaw Josey Wales
Unforgiven
Once Upon a Time in the West
Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Every other Clint western with the Leone ones on top

For newer ones
Open Range was great
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

and I liked the one with Ethan Hawk and the Dog and John Travolta- Valley of Violence

and I like the one with Mads Milkkensen called “The Salvation”
