Cant go wrong with Restaurant Tyler and Veranda, in that order.

Moe's is hit or miss, but may be my favorite when it hits. The daily special sides are usually great. Smoked wings or 1/2 chicken with white BBQ sauce.

If I can only have one lunch in Starkville, it's Restaurant Tyler and there's no close second.

The Veranda, Cake Box and Starkville Cafe all have good plate lunches, and The Little Dooey is always good (Large sandwich, side and a drink for $7.50 is the best deal going).

Is Cappe’s still good? I spent too much money there while in school

Cappe's no longer exists. I would like to add that I believe those people opened the Chicken Salad Chick on 12 which is very good and a pleasant atmosphere for lunch.

Still can’t figure out what happened to Taste of China. That was my preferred Chinese option.

Two Brothers. If it’s a nice day then I love sitting outside at the Bin. Their salmon sliders are great.

The Asian Market/Restaurant by Walgreens is run by the folks from TOC. There’s no buffet. Just menu, but it’s really good. They do hotpot now too.

There are a lot of good options in this thread already. So not to just repeat what has already been said, there is a (semi) new Thai place over by George Sherman which is really good. Also, if you are looking for a blue plate type place, The Cake Box is is in the same complex. Every time I have been there it's been good.

One thing I do know is that you have poor taste.

That is correct.

Cappe’s Turned into The Breakfast Club but they still have lunch offerings until 2. A very underrated place is the spotlight cafe across from Mac’s Meat Market on 182. Some of the best rib tips and wings I’ve ever had

I’ve never eaten there, but China Garden is like on my life bucket list. My prerequisite is a multi Bloody Mary hangover after losing to Florida after being ranked in the top five in the nation. Don’t stop believing.

The blue at the Veranda is one of the best in the state. The shrimp poboy at Oby's is surprisingly good.

It’s still open and my favorite lunch place.
New place will be open this Fall.

Did they temporarily move across the ally?

I saw a place open with a bunch of people on what looked like a covered deck but thought it was just a bar.

The building Two Bros. was in has been leveled though...that I do know.

You are mistaken. Two Brothers is still open in the location it’s occupied for 5 years on the brick alley Rue Du Grand Fromage (peach colored 3 story bldg)

The Two Brothers under construction is 50 feet to the West and yes a house was torn down 7 months ago, but that was not Two Brother’s
