Turned to my son when that happened and said "See that?!" That is what a captain does. Geo had a couple of annoying moments last night, but when I see him do something like that, he shoots right back up the totem pole for me. What a tremendous leader Geo Baker is. Love it.

I pointed it out my son this morning, how that is what a team mate does. A good teammate makes the other players better, pats them on their back when they do good, and picks them up when the are down.

(Apparently I'm a bad dad though for making my 12 year old go to bed though because the little ____ is a beast to wake up in the AM. Had the game recorded so he could watch the last 10 minutes).

At least we know now that Harper won't be transferring to Iowa, so that he can play half his games at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

You take the whole person.

Geo subpar night but leadership there always.

JY tough miss but he will win games for us.

Myles, Tez, Ron, Shaq, Kwasi, Caleb, Paul — none perfect but all contribute to victories.

We are flawed but we are a team, we are a family, and we all do our part, and that includes us fans.

Proud of our coach too. McCaffrey is a good coach no doubt but he's also prone to the occasional epithet laced road rage outburst. Pike is always calm, cool and collected on the sidelines. Way higher on the class meter than many of his counterparts.

Dear Nebraska:

I am so sorry for what you are about to witness. The state is a healthy part of this great nation and does not entirely deserve what is about to happen Saturday.

May God have mercy

Terrors, great post. I mentioned it in my recap in Bac’s thread that Geo literally picked up Jacob’s head and told him no hanging your head. Leadership at its finest. We really have great kids that we root for and hope they get over the hurdle on the road. We are a damn good team with a lot of high character guys that make you root for them harder than previous players. .

Geo's "keep your chin up" gesture reminded me of a scene between Bill Parcells and Jimmy Johnson. It was Johnson's first year with the Cowboys and they were having a terrible season going 1-15. The Giants had just beaten the Cowboys and as he walked across the field, Parcells looked at Johnson and gave him a "keep your chin up gesture. Since he was just elected to the HOF, I guess it worked.
I expect Young to pay attention also.

Could use another 5 years of Jimmy Johnson coaching the Cowboys - just sayin'
