Ok I guess I'm doing the Pick 'em again this year. I guess that means I didn't screw it up too bad last year then, haha.
Furthermore, I make the motion that we triple the salary Mike received for doing the Pick Em last season.
Sadly, some people today might actually miss that 3x0 salary=$0! Take for instance the Starbucks cashier I totally confused this morning. My total was $2.27 and I handed her $3.02. She was so confused. She said, "No, you only owe two dollars" and tried to hand me back a dollar. Ughh. I had to explain she didn't need to hand me back a dollar bill, but to calculate the difference between $3.02 and $2.27. I didn't give her the answer. I waited while she struggled to figure it out. She finally punched in $3.02 and waited for the the register to provide the answer. She still looked confused when the register told her to give me 75 cents. I am hoping this was an isolated incident and not a reflection of a new generation of workers.
Mike you did a great job with it last year. I made time in my busy schedule to participate. Thank you!

The Starbucks cashier is a great example of America today. But these are people that graduated HS. They don't get past the fifth grade when I went to school. The pity is, they are the majority of HS graduates today. Home of the free and the incredibly stupid.
I have seen it as well that kids cannot count back change anymore. But just a question for you, did you do it to see if she could figure it out or did you actually want 3 quarters back.
I actually wanted 3 quarters. I was trying to get rid of pennies. I was shocked she really was confused that $3.02 could pay for $2.27.
