I hate to say it but I’m not 100% sure Pope is gone if he makes the S16. That automatically adds another year to his contract, each year adds $250K to his salary, so his buyout technically goes up. Since Barnhart is still gonna be involved, it wouldn’t shock me at all if a S16 gets him another year.

That's absolutely Wild that you think Kentucky ceiling will be a Sweet 16 without Stokes on the Roster. Do I want Stokes absolutely, but to wait around and let all the talent that's in the portal sign other places while we wait would be CRAZY. Plenty enough talent on the Roster now and talent in the Portal that can Win a Title regardless if Stokes comes.

Barney won’t be involved. He’s not the athletic director he’s gonna be assistant to the president but look I think after this case the rape case the civil case this summer, I think they’re all gone all the athletic department. I’ve heard people compare it to the Michigan state case and when people hear the details and all this stuff is going on the public record people under oath. It’s not gonna be good.. Plus you have the Barney golden parachute that’s gonna be investigated and if it looks like corruption at all, I mean he’s not getting anything. Pretty much. Pope is backed into a corner. The portal closes in six days. If Stokes is waiting two weeks, we are either in great shape or screwed. He needs to tell Stokes you have until noon tomorrow or our deal walks so we can move on. If he doesn't come, then he was NEVER coming. If he comes, its for the money, and if you give him a deadline he will show you what the decision was always gonna be

Kentucky allegedly could've signed Wilkinson before he went to Arkansas. Not sure who withdrew from that deal if it was him or us, but he's a great player.

This is correct. Even if Stokes is a gamble. He’s the type of talent you have to have. There no one near him available in the portal.
