Best Alternate Uniform?

the '97 unis and the chrome for sure. I loved the 1962 unis as well. All the other ones are truly horrendous. The shiny numbers with the tire tacks everywhere... wtf was adidas doing. The more simple, the better. All whites and all reds please.

I prefer the 2012 alternate uniforms worn against Wisconsin,but the next time we wear all red we need a red chrome or metallic helmet...

The black jersey and stripes against UCLA were my least favorite.

Loved the 1962 throwback numbers but the 97 and 62 throwbacks shouldn’t be in the same category with alternate uniforms in my opinion.

I don't get the love for the 97 throwbacks. Our uniform hasn't changed that much from now to then, and all those were were the same uniform with perforated numbers. They were ok, but not anything that was super great and fun. I was a fan of the 62 throwbacks, but like scarlet said...not in the same category.

The best alternates were probably the chrome ones. I always wanted them to do black ones, but they never get it right when they do.

If you are doing alternate uniforms to make it more interesting and fun for the players and fans, then I think you need them to be jazzy and flashy and very different from the norm. The variations on the chrome look achieve that I think.

Throwback jerseys leave me cold. Most of them look stodgy and stupid.

The "97 throwbacks" were obviously barely different but I actually did love how they looked with the mesh and striped undershirts and stuff. I wish those would have been our new fulltime uniforms.

They look similar but they are not the same.
They should be our regulars. So much better.
I was a little worried when I heard they were doing this. Thought theyd screw it up.
But these are the best uniforms. Maybe not exactly what comes to mind when people think "alternate". I can understand that.

Like the chrome. Like the throwbacks. The all black in 2015 wasn’t bad. Not a fan of any of the others. The all red with the matte red helmet makes me want to puke.

Not a big fan of alternative uniforms.

Maybe they should come out of the tunnel with "BUGEATERS" on the uniform, it is owned by the university.

He won’t, we don’t have Phil Knight to supply all those uniform combinations and don’t count on uncle Warren too supply any either.Winking

Adidas Valencia CF 16-17 Third Kit is my favorite so far. Glad they are back with Adidas love that 3 stripe life!



If we are talking about Huskers... then there should be no variation ever, keep the CLASSIC!

I loved it when they came out in them, but if they do again I’ll have flashbacks to the OU TE crushing my soul that day
