He averaged 14 ppg and 3 apg and some of you act like Michael Jordan came out of retirement to play for UNCheat. There is a reason we beat their *** all the time and it's not because of our post play....

I disagree slightly only because it's a PG driven game. He's also a seasoned veteran senior who can control the game. That's huge. Although I do agree they absolutely want Bradley back- he would be a beast next year in the paint and I hope he stays in the draft.
I totally get what you are saying. I think Berry is certainly a better player than Bradley (hell, Bradley was their 3rd or 4th (Maye) best post player this year). I'm looking at it as the fall off to the next guy. If Bradley leaves, Maye is the only post player they have returning - unless you count Pinson as a 4. That means that some of these "hidden gem" freshmen they have coming will have to play significant minutes. Unless they get Knox. So, if they don't get Knox and if Bradley stays in the draft, they are going to be really bad inside. If Berry had left but Bradley returned, Felton is coming in and Williams/Woods have at least played. That to me seems like a smaller drop off.

That's true across the entire college basketball landscape, but it skews a little back toward the post for Roy's teams. In addition to pushing the pace, they also feed the post and hit the boards. If speed is most crucial to pushing pace, size is most crucial to rebounding and post scoring.

No doubt and I'd almost argue that the right Pg makes their system go as I think most bigs can be plug and play in that system.

If they lose out on Bradley and Knox, which is very likely, it will be a very interesting season for sure. I think Berry and Pinson will help solidify the team as at least an NCAA team. But one of the staples of UNC Basketball, is post play. They could be playing Maye, Brooks, Huffman, and Manley. None of those four guys were even in the top 100 of their respective high school classes. Maybe a 6 or 7 seed with that lineup. If they get Bradley back, I would expect a monster season from him and that would catapult UNC into ACC Title Contenders and possibly a top-10 team as well.

Yeah I dont think they just are able to thrust any bigs in the system....Kennedy and Hicks were both beasts and had been around forever....

I will take my chances on Maye and a newbie inside and bet Luke WILL NOT be making a beeline to his 8 o'clock class after an elite 8 win next year....

I'll take those chances too! Luke is a decent player, but I wouldn't want him to be my best post player if I have title aspirations!

UNCHeat fans are slobbering over this news saying it is an indication that either Bradley is coming back and maybe even getting Knox..

I honestly think our post play will be a MAJOR STRENGTH next year w/Bolden and Carter kicking butt and taking names!

That is what I chuckled at. It is pretty clear that there was never any real intention of testing the waters, just a little publicity "tip of the cap" by Roy.

Basically what I said but without the bad words and calling Berry a ***** that isn't ready to lay off Roy's tit.

Think Bradley would have a great year at UNC if he came back but saying he is the difference between UNC being a top 10 team/ACC champ or a UNC team not ranked and a 7 seed in the dance is giving Bradley too much credit.

You might be right, there's no way of ever knowing, of course. I think a comparable position might be Baylor be this year. They were a #3 seed with Johnathan Motley. Without him, I think they're a fringe top-25 team, at best. I think Bradley could easily be an All-American if he comes back next year. He is very, very talented.

DeLaurier might be more consistent than both of those guys. I'm hoping for him to take the Luke Leap in his second year.

Denver you are preaching to the choir! I love Javin, and feel like this kid is ready to be turned loose! You mentioned a "Luke Leap," and I think that means an impressive SUMMER like Kennard had last year. Otherwise I am not sure how much PT he gets next year because of K's short bench.Maybe 10-15 mpg....Time will tell....

It would be great for Duke if Javin was on the floor at least 15 minutes a game. I think the kid can play and really help, but if they land Knox, I don't see many minutes for him. Then what?

15 mins per game hopefully keeps him in Durham, IDK....Just hard to see us get thru nx yr w/o at least one transfer...

A Luke Leap for Javin would be forcing K to play him 15 minutes a game if Knox comes and 20 minutes a game as a solid contributor if Knox doesnt. Remember, Luke was already a solid contributor his freshmen year. Javin was not.
