For the first 4 minutes of the game, and let the refs put their early trigger happy fouls on EJ or Sestina.
You have noticed a pattern of early foul trouble for Nick?Nope
Hagans-So.Start the best and it will all work out.
Derek, come on man.I almost want to bench Nick just so everyone else on the floor will be forced to learn how to play basketball. Nick is so good that he’s become a crutch for the rest of the team.
Derek, come on man.
Hagans, IQ and Maxey are just fine.
Montgomery, Sestina, Brooks and Juzang certainly fall into your category but not those first 3 I named.
No way.
Hagans-So.
Maxey-Fr.
IQ-So
Montgomery-So.
Richards-Jr.
When was the last UK team to start just 1 Freshman? 2015?
Not this season . Especially not since SEC play . I do agree if he gets his first foul in the first 2 minutes you take him out for 5 . But you start your best 5 .You have noticed a pattern of early foul trouble for Nick?
Not an overall crazy idea. Refs are trigger happy early. For the first 4 minutes of the game, and let the refs put their early trigger happy fouls on EJ or Sestina.
yep.
depends how you the majority of the season in 2015-16 after Labissiere lost his starting spot. He and Murray started to begin but it didn’t last long.
yea he was a freshman. Brain fart.Didn't Briscoe also start as a Freshman on that team or am I misremembering?
15 minutes is basically playing the first half without Nick...I agree OP, and I'd go 10-15 minutes.
If Nick gets 2 fouls with 15 mins to go in the first half, it's a double negative: The team is deflated due to Nick unexpectedly being taken out, and Nick plays safe in the 2nd half when he finally does get back in due to foul issues. If you know you're sitting him out to start you can prepare for it and skip the deflating let-down. Also, Nick is playing free and balls to the wall when he is in and not worrying about foul trouble.
It may seem like a scared way to play, but does anybody really think we'll make it six straight games without a team getting 2 early fouls on Nick?
