He said it's no mystery that Oregon is Petersen's dream job. Petersen might legitimately give us a look now that the Oregon job is out of the question.

I think I read that Peterson is a Northwest guy, and so is his family. Maybe it was Dan Hawkins, but I thought I read that he wants to stay in that part of the country. Mississippi is a big change from Idaho or Oregon.

that may be the best thing that could happen for us - I'm really surprised Washington hasn't made the full out attack on Petersen, but I haven't heard much about that.

I agree that with Oregon now out of the question it's pretty much down to him waiting a year or so for what's considered a "better" job or take the $2M we'd offer on come on down to the SEC

Or bowl selections. If they don't get into BCS this year, I'm sure that will heavily factor into whether he remains content at Boise, or wants to look into other options.
