Being that Emory Bellard died earlier today, I wanted to post this. I read a quote from him right after Mullen was hired. His quote was something along the lines of:
"Pad-nuh, you run that spread option with the right players, you'll score a bucketful of touchdowns......."
I thought it was a classic quote.
