I’m not a Begok fan but I don’t really believe that. I still think he’s one of the elite.

I just don’t like him and he will get results again. Then he will bolt and burn things down on the way out.
Can’t figure if I’m a begok fan or not, still trying to unravel that one. But I guess we just see it differently, nothing wrong with that.

Afternoon fellow Begok’rs

Let’s end this baseball debate…

Someone tell me who this new recruit is. Ive
Completely stopped following basketball recruiting I think it’s unbearably awful. And this is coming from someone who followed so close years ago I nearly paid closer attention to the incoming players than the ones on the team.
AKA The Donora Greyhound. Ty Cobb called Stan the closest thing to a perfect baseball player he ever saw.

Almost page 3 no way. Long live Begok amirite?

Let me introduce Tommy Edman, my favorite player. St. Louis always finding those diamonds. He’s leading for the gold glove yet again, and his bat is old school. He’s a true baseball player. Came up from college a Cardinal, played for the Memphis Red birds in minor league, now a STL Cardinal. He will retire in the uniform. If you haven’t paid attention to him might want to start. After taking over and becoming the best defensive second baseman in baseball he’s willing to become a short stop so we can bring Gorman up who’s a killer. He hits everywhere on the field don’t bother shifting. 3-5 yesterday, 2 doubles, 3 RBI’s.

I will start to pay attention to him.

I tossed the ball around with my boys yesterday. Good to throw on the glove and get the arm loose; though that takes longer these days.

I still use two 1980s Rawlings gloves. One is an RBG50 Ozzie Smith model and the other is an RBG36 Dale Murphy. Love them and have never been able to get comfortable with any others over the years. They are like extensions of my arms haha!

I was throwing yesterday myself. It’s a good feeling passing it down. Although many think baseball isn’t what it used to be, high schools in my area are having huge turnouts. Parents are just not wanting to let them play football and they’re turning to baseball. Love seeing it.

That RGB50 is my jam!!

Great gloves. I tell many of the younger athletes when they are little league age to give baseball a chance. I know basketball and football get the ESPN love but they have a better chance of making themselves pros on the diamond.

The nick name is corny yes but it does fit

cal sucks and he kneeled last year? What is not factual? Only thing sad is him still being here next year
Doesn't everyone kneel at some point or another, and we all can be egotistical

He definitely has a history of that.

With NIL and the transfer portal, it will be so much easier for big time programs to rebuild instantly. A few years ago, I would have guess we would be screwed the few years after Cal's departure. I don't think that's the case anymore.

I feel like a guy such as Mussleman (weird dude tho) would use these resources and kill it. Easily a title in a decade or more.

I just wish he was taller. I’d hate to have a miniature coach. My only issue with Stoops is I’ve yet to ever see him look taller than anyone, including female sideline reporters.

Nah that’s true. His height really causes some damage with me. I’m only 5’10 but I wouldn’t actually follow a man shorter than me. My grandfather made a lot of money in business and politics ( yea) and he always said it’s not the brains that makes a man, it’s the height.

Mab was always one of my favorites back then. And here on an old pinnacle card no less.

I love collecting pricey cardinals memorabilia from those eras. The Braves were in the middle of their best run (won 1 ring lol) and so I can fetch team signed balls of my childhood teams for like 300 bucks.
Hey don’t hate! I loved my Braves back then and now! WS champs baby!

Yes,
Luckily I started understanding and following baseball around the time they really started building after they got Maddux.
you were lucky lol. I got married in 82. Never had cable until then. TNT had every Braves game on, so I got hooked. Got unhooked when Glavine and company chose to strike. My son somehow got me back into it the last couple years. I tend to hold grudges for awhile.

Yeah well I was too young to really understand the strike I just wanted baseball back. But yeah TBS hooked me on the Braves. I watched every game.

Imagine batting against Gibson expecting a heater at your skull only to see it drop across the plate.

The man was a beast.
