This "Can anyone challenge UK in SEC" is laughable. Of course they can. Obviously none of the writers have watched a UK game officiated in this conference--specifically on the road. That call on Wenyen Gabriel's putback was one of the most disgusting displays of biased officiating you will see in any sport. He literally puts his off hand away from body to show he's straight up--uses other to tip ball back and gets called for an over the ball call-when he's got no body contact? The phantom calls, the fact that a Vandy team who relies on hoisting jumpers was going to the FT line like they ran the dribble drive motion was laughable. Derek Willis gets a similar call and did nothing wrong-and these are in front of the UK bench. So yes--mark me down as saying the conference is competitive and can be "Won" as they are instructed to do what it takes to get more teams in the NCAA tournament (aka more $) and if it means the better team has to take an L-so be it. That's disgusting and pathetic but it's the norm in today's CBB--and really would be only reason to ever allow more teams in NCAA--so we could just enjoy watching teams play instead of having to overcome the "road whistle".

And it only reinforces how intelligent Calipari is when he speaks to why he hates true road games against elite teams. Rick Barnes got a lot of calls last night and even he speaks out against playing Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse--that whistle is ridiculous.

Well for years I have felt that our home-court advantage included some very favorable reffing and calls at home. So you have to expect bad things to happen on the road. You can't have one without the other.

The Gabriel call was already awful. But got even worse 20 seconds when a ut player committed one of the most egregious over the backs ever with no call.
