Dirtiest game I've seen in a long long time. Officials have lost control, and Coughlin should take Beckham out before he is suspended.

I only have NFL Redzone to watch so am only seeing the occasional highlight. Looks like Norman is as much the instigator as Beckham. So far I haven't seen much to call Beckham the punk, but I might be missing stuff.

Started with Norman body slamming Beckham, and now it's back and forth. Both players need to sit. And stay. But that benefits the Panthers. So it won't happen.

So I think you missed Odell launching his body head first at Norton. Pure head to head blow. 5 years ago I watched Eric lay motionless on the field. This should not be tolerated by the league at all!

Hard to blame a wide receiver for trying to even things up against a d-back. The d-back has all the advantages on delivering hits.

Edit: RuBird -- looks like this is in response to your post, but it wasn't. Just the timing on the posts put this after yours. Had not read yours when I posted; this was in response to earlier post.

I did, however, since see the shot Beckham took on the d-back. Don't see it as vicious as you do, but that might be my NYG bias. Also, I have a lot more sympathy for wideouts than d-backs naturally.

Beckham has taken cheap shot after cheap shot. Norman has Beckham frustrated. And that penalty on Norman was fine in my eyes after Beckham launched himself directly at Norman's head.

So, just for full disclosure's sake, I'm a Giants fan and think Beckham is the best receiver in the game right now. I'm getting a sense that we have some Giant haters here, because in the highlights here, this looks 50/50 at best, and the Panther guy being the initiator in the worst case.

Come On Man. If you can't see that it all started with Norman body slamming Beckham then you clearly didn't watch the whole game. Norman tried to intimidate Beckham and he wasn't having any of it. Every play Norman was taunting him. Norman did what he came to do throw Beckham off his game and he deliberately did it by tossing him. This was his game plan against Beckham because he knows he can't beat him on talent. If you can't see this, just stop watching football because it's a waste of your time. Because you don't know what your watching anyway.

Head to head cheap shot. Could care less what a good player he is or what MAY have started it. Watched most of the game neither player is a saint but believe me he could have crippled Norton. Norton never saw it coming

And Norton could have crippled Beckham with the body slam. So I guess thats okay because this is professional wrestling we're watching right.

Giants fan here.

To me it looks like Beckham has been the instigator all game long.

He has been embarrassing! To be honest he probably should have been ejected in the first quarter. At some point coughlin should have taken a stand and benched him.

Seriously. Helmet to helmet on defenseless player not even close. He will be fined and should have been tossed from the game. Ask yourself this. If Odell was on the receiving end of it Or Manning do you react the same way? Can't defend it.

I guess the Giants can't bench Beckham, the game is still undecided and NYG are desperate for a win to stay in the race.

Youre trippin man. Obj has been the instigator 90% of the time today

Very disappointed in OBJ today, but let's be real, so far in his career this is by far the "exception" to the "rule." Wouldn't be shocked if he gets a 1-game suspension, however, and definitely deserves it at this point.

Comparing basically a wrestling body slam to a blind side late head shot is assinine.
To be fair Norman did kick Beckham in the head right after so he couldn't have been that hurt.

I like OBJ too but half the league wants to put him in the hospital. Somebody will succeed if he doesn't stop imitating WWF antics. Coughlin seems out of control in this regard. There should be lots of fines on both teams this week.

Yeah I was thinking as soon as the play happened no way the league can let that slide without a suspension.

Beckham has been taking cheap shots all year. With the early body slam, he was p*ssed all game. Plus being down early and the drop ( that would have been a TD) didn't help. He will get fined and move on.

Giants fan here. Beckham was out of control. As Jimmy Johnson just said...if he played under control he would have played better.

I think the NFL will fine him.

Meh, they were picking on him all day. The helmet to helmet was a little much, but the refs let it get out of control.

Cam Newton is a douche.

Great game nonetheless, I racked up some serious points w/ Cam, Olsen and OBJ

Beckham has superior talent but his behavior is out of control which is a big problem for the Giants moving forward. He will get a fine and possible suspension for the remaining games.
