... and stuck at home due to snow day( actually none of that sounded right... I'm loving the day!!!).... and as a chance to root some of you out for your playing skills, list the best five players you ever played against, any sport.... I'll go first:

Ken Rosewall, Grandslam champ( it was a hit and giggle exhibition)

Gene Harmon, at one time Creighton's leading all time scorer... hoops

Mike James, 6'10 player from Kentucky... one of their first players of color... hoops

Bob Siegel, 3 year starter for the Huskers ... hoops

Tom Kropp....2 seasons in the NBA... hoops

Other tennis guys most would never have heard of....

BTW.... only one win against that crew

You talk to people from fairbury they will tell you that Bob would have been a better player but Joe cip had him playing the wrong position

Not pro or college players but when I was in grade school the best athletes I ever saw were Nick Danze and his brother BJ. Truly gifted athletes and the nicest guys you would ever meet.

It'd just be names that no one knows.... I remember them well though. Early 90's 8 man football good times. I played the same position as Mark Brahmer at Doane and that son of a gun could make a guy's head hurt in practice. He's probably 20% of the reason why I can't remember names at 50.

Were you watching the WSU-Memphis game this weekend when the Shockers sent the game into overtime? The color commentator shouted, “Bonus basketball in Wichita!!! Why else would you come here???”

I was still laughing when they came back from commercial, and he sheepishly apologized to everyone who might have offended - said it’s a great place and there are all sorts of reasons to come to Wichita.

Too funny. Someone obviously got in his ear during the break and said, “That… didn’t sound great.”

it's been the talk!!... but i think his intent was good....
it's funny,,, these Shockers are a lot like the Huskers... mismatched parts with some really nice win baffling losses... at one point about three weeks ago, these two had combined for 12 straight losses... brutal....
