You guys are legit good, but we are not good this year and with no fans to give us home-court advantage it's going to be brutal on Maryland this year.
I believe we have best home-court record in Big Ten since 2014 when we joined.
So it's not the same kind of win doing it vs a good Maryland team with the crowd, but it's a win and on the road so very nice. Congrats.
I agree and had the same reaction to the Syracuse game. I thought we had a good chance to beat them but there was the ever present uncertainty. But I wasn't surprised that we did.
I think that was the first time we ever beat Maryland on the road in mens basketball. Of course we beat them at the RAC last year and we beat them in a holiday tournament in Arizona many years ago when Wenzel was coaching but I think that was it.
If your mascot gets injured, I hear Mitch McConnell may be able to free up his schedule.

It’s stupid because we never win there!! And their stupid inclined end zone seats on both ends with students that run the flag up to the rafters and their stupid lets goooooo Mary-land chant that I hate almost as much as We Are. And the stupid turtle
Not anywhere as good as last years team. Maryland seems to be trending down. Recruiting hadn’t been as good and we are trending up abs I’d take Pike over Turgeron any day.
I was a visiting grad student at U. Of Md for a semester and I can say that the Xfinity center (formerly Comcast) rivals some professional arenas. MD takes their basketball seriously. If anything the football stadium is odd with the one side that is much higher than the other but Xfinity is a big time arena that’s seats 18k right on campus. MD is a basketball school through and through and RU men’s bball made their team look weak.

IIRC, the arena on the UofU campus was built in the late 1960s and RU's Bill Foster, our coach who led us to RU's first two post-season tournaments - the NITs in 1967 and 1969, was hired by Utah to coach their team. I can remember stopping by there in the summer of 1971 while we were on a camping trip through several of the national parks in the west. Foster wasn't there but we left him a note thanking him for all the memories and wishing him the best of luck in his new sports palace. At that time, RU basketball was still housed in the College Avenue Barn (2800 seats compared to 15,000 at the UofU).
