I agree Eberflus needed to go and should have been fired long ago.

However, why is everyone here giving Caleb a free pass? From my perspective, he was at much as fault, likely much more than Eberflus.

Caleb was the one who took the sack, got the team to the line late, changed a play when not needed and ran a long route when no time available.

Does anyone think Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix or Drake Maye let the clock run out?

From pass game coordinator to OC and now to HC in a few weeks.

Got a lot on his plate now. Nice opportunity for him.
I’m excited for the Bears to go 3-2 down the stretch while everyone in the media reports how this is a different team and this clown is then named HC because it’s the cheapest option available.

The Bears coaching has been so bad we are lucky Caleb is still improving and isn’t injured. Say what you want A4fan Caleb will be a good QB in this league it’s all over and we as a franchise did the kid wrong. It’s been a complete disaster yet he has toed the line.

If the Bears are eyeing Mike Vrabel as their head coach next season, they may have some competition after Ryan Day and his Buckeyes lost for the fourth straight time to Michigan. Especially, since it was at home against a 6-5 Wolverines team.

That's why you get this going NOW

He literally said he changed the play, his words, not mine.
Dude, I apologize. Caleb completely screwed up that last play. I don’t think he knew they had a TO.

Caleb 🙄

Now it all makes sense and why Eberflus continued to defend their operations and would do it all the same again.

If Caleb did what he was coached to do (throw the ball over the middle for a short gain and call TO) Eberflus still has a job.

Wow

Did Ryan Day do a Eberflus at the end of the Buckeye game. I mean he called back to back timeouts. That’s sounds like something Eberflus would do. 😂

Eberflus got a bad wrap on the bears last play. He layed on the sword for Caleb and ultimately lost his job.
He needed to go. Did you see his record as a head coach. Bad bad bad. Good luck to the next team that hires him.

Corey,

He tried to call back to back Time outs but was not allowed to by rule. He tried to call the second time out because he had 12 men on the field which resulted in the 15 yd penalty. Not a big fan of Ryan Day at this point, but he was once a really nice guy with great ethics! His comment last week about scoring and “leave no doubt” really bothered me. Yes I was not happy with Penn State scoring today on MD as time expired, but it did cover my TT points wager for the game.

I know that was my point when I said it was Eberflus ish. Ryan Day is a good guy so is Eberflus. Day is going to get run out of town with continued losing to Michigan. Buckeye fans will not put up with losing to Michigan.
He needs to do very well in the playoffs or he will be on the hot seat. Mark my words.

Corey,

I know for a fact he already is on that hot seat and it’s on steam!

I am giving serious consideration to the idea of picking the Bears to beat the 49ers this Sunday. SF has a ton of injuries and there were only three defensive starters on the field against Buffalo last Sunday night who were on the field for the last Super Bowl. Now you have both starting RBs out for possibly the rest of the year. Purdy is also banged up.

I just read that again. This is what it takes for me to even consider the Bears winning a game?:oops:

I mean, they’ve lost a game to a 9-3 team on a blocked field goal. Lost to a one loss team on coaching malpractice. Lost in OT to a two loss team. Lost on a Hail Mary to an 8-5 team. Let’s not act like them beating San Fran is some far-fetched deal. They’ve had chances to win games against far superior teams and needed a bunch of ******** to go against them for them not to win some of those games. So you can consider them winning several games on the schedule the rest of the way.

I think we can now take Ben Johnson off the list of Bears potential coaching candidates. Guarantee these comments were geared at Bears and Jets.

Oh HELL NO! SF is the last game I am picking them to win. Unless of course they bear SF handily. I still feel squeamish about making this pick. I read something today that said if you made a straight up bet against the Bears in their last 65 games you would have won 70% of the picks. It's still the Bears.

A really really really banged up SF, maybe a one game bump with a new HC for Bears, Caleb playing better past few games. It's actually quite possible.
