How many of you thought something similar to "Well, I guess this is another bad notch on Pope's belt to him leaving.." whenever Santa Clara hit that 3 with seconds to go in the second half? That Oweh shot was great and I am glad we won though. Pope would be staying anyways next year regardless, but funny how much your mind goes from that to "HOLY $H!T".

Tell you like I tell my brother stoops everybody said he will be back. Everybody say he’ll be back. Everybody said Barney will be here till 28. Everybody said cow would be back. It’s 50-50 whether Mark Pope comes back even at this point now they beat Iowa State. It’s gonna be different but right now I mean our former players we got former players who wonder why they’re not the coach or think they could do better than Mark Pope there’s a whole lot of people who haven’t said boo yet because the season hasn’t ended and when it does and we have no legit players for next year, it’s gonna be really difficult. I mean right now Pope living on the lot of a mid court shot. That’s not a great way to be living UK

I hit the previous channel switch as soon as Graves miracle shot so I wouldn’t see their celebration then hit the same button again and saw Oweh shot go through the basket. It’s about time we have something like that happen for us instead of against us. We seen enough of those for a lifetime.

We have no recruits for next year he should be gone Monday morning. Not like there's any continuity to worry about

He could have missed the tournament and would still be back for his third season. His Sweet Sixteen and other factors bought him that. It is what it is...

Oweh not only shot but whole performance might have saved Pope ‘S job for now.


hopefully, Mark realizes that he needs couple studs that can take the game over when his system doesn’t work, which was the case this whole season.

if not we will just get another year of pain and suffering…watching CC building the church of Pope…

If there is not enough time for a coach to get a time out before a basket is scored, there's no way fans had enough time to think about anything like that.

Pope never crossed my mind. I literally said on here last freaking night this game would be a dog fight that we'd need some luck to win. I was to caught up in the game and I felt like I'd been punched in the stomach in that SC 3. IMMEDIATELY looked at how much time was left and figured it'd be a half court have that barely missed.

I honestly laughed when they hit their 3 to take the lead and presumably win the game and then just dumbfounded after owehs shot. I wanted us to win, glad we did, but after blowing a 7 point lead to get down by 4, I was just ready for it all to end. Still hard to get too hype for this team though.

Yeah, he took Garrison out when he was starting to go off. I think this was in the first quarter. He does stuff like that all the time. For whatever reason he doesn't understand how to let players ride their hot hand.

Yes, we won, but why should anyone's finger be removed from the negative button. This year has been awful. I am glad we won and I hope we beat Iowa State. However, this year has not been anything to be proud of.

With Oweh’s shot and celebration I honestly thought we had won the game. It took me a few seconds to figure out we were tied.😭
