I with on this one CashCard - I really like the way this team competes. They just have to get better at finishing!

This team can score. They get better defensively and play Cards defense.... Watch out. I am not accustomed to seeing a Pitino team give up as many easy ones as they did yesterday on the press and just completely blown assignments.

Lock in on D and they will be fine.

UofK isn't a top 10 team. They have potential to become very good, but they're not a top 10 team today. Of course they shot very well yesterday, and hit shots they haven't hit all season long so I give credit where credit is due.

As far as the Cardinals are concerned, they can't allow UofK to get them beat twice in a row. The game is over so they must forget about it and move the focus to Wake Forrest. January 3rd, 2016 will be here soon.

If they don't learn defense, it wont matter. They will score, and maybe score more then most their opponents 65% of the time. If they learned defense, they could be silly good.

And if Pitino could just drop his pride sometimes and switch during the game (a.k.a Make in game adjustments) things could really work out well, and yes I believe we beat UK if we switch to Man and go inside EVERY possession.

I agree with CueCard and DJCARDINAL, on their observations. I really don't think UK or UL are top 10 teams right now but I do think both teams have the potential to be. There were too many gaps between both teams where they didn't score and if they come up against a good team that doesn't have scoring gaps they could be in trouble. Fortunately for us we play in a conference that will expose our weaknesses and help us get better.

I also wish we would have switched our defense as well and made more adjustments but we didn't. I really thought "Q" and Spalding were going to have better games than what they did, but we have a whole season for them to get better. I also think this team has a lot of potential and if they can solve their problems they can be a Final Four team. I do want to give Pitino credit for bringing in Lee and Lewis, I would hate to think how far behind we would be without them.

I think UK was a top ten team yesterday. If they had shot their normal 3pt average, we win. They shot lights out and they won. I think both teams are top 10 teams already. I actually think UL is the better team despite yesterday's game. We've been more consistent. Both of our losses were to very good teams on the road. And in both games, we were in it to the last minute - or to the last shot in the UK game.

I actually found yesterday's loss to UK extremely frustrating. I really thought the Cards could and would win before the game. I'm looking forward to the ACC season. It will be tough of course, but I think we'll do better than 7th in the league.

I also disagree about some of the comments I've seen about our inside players. They played so-so in the first half, but we actually won the boards in the 2nd half. I thought Onuaku was very tough and made some damn good rebounds. Johnson made a couple of nice shots in the 2nd half also.

We are going to be fine people. I still think there's a good chance we make the final 4 this year.

Agree. Both teams are really good. Easily top 10/15 this season. The Cards are the better overall team and in my opinion have the higher ceiling.

UK made some crazy 3s and Hawkins made some huge ones. Those 3s were a huge difference maker.

We as fans have a lot to be excited about. This team could be undefeated going into conference play. Scary good if they stay healthy and improve on D.

I was at the game and I can tell you first hand I don't think the Cards played up to their potential. Whereas, Ky played about the best game they will play all year IMO. It is very encouraging to me that we can play bad and still almost beat Ky on their home floor.

Both teams are easily top 10 IMO. You guys took the #1 team to the wire on their home floor. There are no great teams this year either. Carolina was the preseason #1 and they have 2 losses as well.

Not sure about the higher ceiling thing for Louisville though. We are overall much younger and depend on more first year players. They are in their first full month of college. Our top ranked recruit has given us nothing so far, our best defender and 3rd leading scorer did not play yesterday, and Murray did everything he could to give you guys the game. Our other freshman was saddled with foul trouble. When they get more used to each other and college ball you have from a raw talent standpoint a higher ceiling.

Having said that, Louisville's ceiling is pretty damn high as well. Both teams are title contenders.

Time will tell. Let's see where both teams are at the end of January/Mid Feb and revisit.
