Last few weeks have been a little stagnant. I would like to see a few commit this weekend. Who do you think will verbal to RU over the next couple of days?

I wonder if Brennan will. The class already has 5 DBs and if he may be on the outside looking in soon but I know there is talk that he is also being courted heavily by BC. If he wasn't from Bosco I think Ash may have already moved on.

I think Steve Scott could today. I'd love to see Lance Turay or King commit today or this weekend as well.

Those seem to be the most talked about recently. Is Scott waiting for other offers? He has been "close" to a verbal for a while now. I wonder if there is a hangup from RU's standpoint. Would be nice to land a high profile player soon. Most still available, if they are considering Rutgers, probably are waiting to see how the team fares this year.

Looking at recruiting, it looks like we are getting kids from across the nation.

What are you talking about? Stagnant? We have had roughly 10-12 commitments over past month.

Paul Woods (7/11) and a punter (7/12) were the only commits in the month of July until Turner yesterday. That's three weeks and two commits in July at the time when I made the comment..my post said the past three weeks have been a little stagnant...to me, that is a little stagnant. Emphasis on LITTLE.

Actually your post did not say 3.

This is what makes this board either a humorous/pleasurable diversion in life OR a royal pain in the ***. If a person refers to a "couple", one would safely assume they mean two, although there are some who debate it could mean more. "Few" is sometimes used to mean 3, but it doesn't have to be used that way. It can certainly be more vague than that. There is no standard definition which requires it to mean 3. Simply consult some dictionaries, and you will not find any entries that specify "few"=3. (I haven't bothered to cite any dictionaries; I trust you can find these on Google yourself.) I used "few" to mean 3...as in the last 3 (read few) weeks have been a LITTLE stagnant in this recruiting cycle. I didn't realize you may have inadvertently taken my "few" to maybe mean four weeks. In which case you could have added an additional two recruits, and the "few/four" past week total would have been higher..but still a little stagnant for my tastes. In summation, I want more recruits. The last "few" weeks, whether it be three or four weeks has been slow for me...Are you or any other of the readers who stayed to read this drivel really excited about the past "few/three" weeks? How about the past "few/four" weeks? If the answer is no to the "few/three" and/or the "few/four" then I claim stagnancy.

I'm just disagreeing our recruiting is stagnant. Mods have said they've been told there are recruits that would commit, but Ash doesn't want to fill up too quickly as bigger fish still possible.

Your ability to mangle my words is amazing. I never said the recruiting is stagnant. I'm done with it. I feel like I'm on the Star Ledger forums.

Go back and read your first post. Just an FYI, July has a dead period and is one of the few times coaches (and families) have an opportunity for vacations. So no surprise July, in general, might be a little slow.

If you look back the past 5 years July and August are very slow recruiting months at RU and across the nation. Coaches go on vacation and so do recruits. June is the heaviest month with kids getting out of school. We may get one 1or 2 recruits over the next 45 days but not expecting much at all.
