Most beautiful day of the year so far in Lexington. If Diallo is in town today that can't hurt.
I tend to get lost in all the portal stuff.
Is this player better then what we had last year? What are his strengths and weaknesses?
If Diallo does commit today it'll be interesting to see what Rob Wright does, since all 3 schools associated with him will have landed PGs, Ohio St just got Justin Pippin, and Louisville got Jackson Shelstad and we would have Zoom Diallo.
I would take him a million times out of a million over Lowe. Bigger, stronger guard with better shooting numbers (and improving, look at his freshman to sophomore year jump). He's about the same size as Denzel but more of a natural PG. I think he'd be a great pickup. If we aren't sure about Wright, you take this kid and build the rest of the roster.
Does Zoom seem like just another Denzel to you guys?

I liked Pippen quite a bit. I think he's just going to continue to get better.
I know there is angst, but I love portal season, it's like Christmas morning.
Would agree with this assessment. ZD’s shooting a little worse as well, BUT, he’s familiar with the lead guard spot, a little bigger than DA, and seems to have more of an attacking gear. I personally didn’t mind DA.

Things seem to be trending for Diallo but anything can happen. We got Andrew Carr's commitment while he was on his Villanova visit. And word came out that Great Osobor eliminated us WHILE he was on his visit to UK and Pope took BG's commitment instead. Wasn't ideal in hindsight lol. But with money flowing around expect the unexpected.
Pope isn’t taking Diallo if he knows he’s in good with Wright… Diallo is visiting and is on commitment watch, so I’ll leave the obvious to who it matters to, to figure that one out.

In other Bay Area news - Eubeka Okorie of Stanford has declared for the NBA Draft & is projected to be first round pick. He says if he returns to school it will be to Stanford. Somebody from Stanford found the $2.5 million to bring him back.

I’ve seen full Diallo games a few times. He’s a power conference starter, but not an impactful power conference starter. So not a bad start.
I like Diallo’s game and I hope this doesn’t knock us out on getting Wright.
I’d love to land Wright to run right next to him.
Yep, I love the thought of having 2 PGs if one of them is big enough to play defense against opposing SGs.
At first I didn't like all the changes with NIL. No doubt the ncaa/congress need to tighten things up . With that being said I totally agree and think it gives us some excitement during what used to be a slow time for college hoops.
The fact you can basically transform your team into a contender overnight sure does make it fun .

Would of been nice to of seen DA play the 2 spot versus having to play out of position all year. If he gets a 5th year I think we should keep him if possible.

I agree with the guy above. Dude is legit like Aberdeen except a worse shooter. I don’t know why we are so high on him. Plenty better PG options out there. Unless this is a power play to get Stokes I think Pope is cooked after this year.
Aberdeen wasn't a PG. Diallo is a better driver and passer. I'm not seeing he's amazing just that they aren't all that similar.

I like shifty quick pg but also shoots the three… Leroy Blyden jr was my guy and I know he was a mid-major
